THE Las Vegas Prospects are pleased to announce that Coach Ronnie Ross will be the head coach of the Prospects' 2023 team. Coach Ronnie brings a ton of knowledge and experience to our team, and will coach Spects 2023 this year. We would like to welcome Ronnie to Prospect Nation!

PER THE UTAH ELITE WEBSITE:

Ronnie is the all-time leading scorer at his high school. After graduating high school, Ronnie attended John Wood Junior College in Quincy, Illinois. There he was a two-time first-team all-conference and all-region selection and was named Freshman of the Year in the Collegiate Conference of Central Illinois. He was also named Preseason Junior College All-American, and a junior college Top-40 player by Rickballs. He remains the school’s all-time leading scorer and second all-time in field-goals, three-point field-goals, steals and free-throws.

After two seasons at JWCC, Ronnie was heavily recruited by Division I schools throughout the country. He ultimately transferred to Utah State University. There he was 10th in the conference in assists and fourth in assist-to-turnover ratio, which ranks ninth all-time at USU.

Ronnie graduated from USU in 2003, with a bachelor’s degree in Education and a minor in Sociology. He then began a very illustrious career abroad with teams in Kosovo, Bosnia, Hungary, and Switzerland. He also participated in invitational workouts with the Portland Trail Blazers and ex-Seattle Sonics.

In 2011, he retired from basketball and founded Utah Elite. Ronnie has led 7 Utah Elite teams to state championships and has taken 3 teams to the national championship tournament.
