Coven of Midnight's Flame

Coven of Midnight's Flame Coven of Midnight’s Flame is a coven following the Midnight Traditon. We use the Wiccan ritual structure and worship gods/goddesses from all traditions.

Coven of Midnight’s Flame (CMF) is a coven of women practicing the Midnight Tradition of Wicca in Los Angeles/North Hollywood. Our members come from all over Hollywood, Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena, the San Fernando Valley and other surrounding areas. We accept membership from those who are 21 or over and consider themselves a woman. The Midnight Tradition is a traditional, hierarchal Wiccan tradit

ion, however, we do not worship gods and goddesses from one pantheon alone. All Coven of Midnight’s Flame rituals follow the structured Midnight Tradition liturgy, though the content of the ritual varies depending on the Sabbat, Esbat, or need of the ritual. Outside of ritual, the core goals of the Midnight Tradition are to practice unconditional love for the world and all of its beings, to create a deep familial bond within each coven and among all covens of the tradition, and to foster not only the spiritual growth of our practitioners, but also their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. We believe deeply in the mind-body connection and, therefore, adopt a holistic view of our evolution and growth as people. We celebrate the eight Sabbats of the Wheel of the year as well as all Full Moon and some New Moon Esbats. Following the Wiccan Rede, “an it harm none, do as thou will,” as well as the Law of Return, we strive always for the magick we practice to come only from a place of pure love. Covens in the Midnight Tradition are made up of two courts, an Inner Court of Initiates and an Outer Court made up of Dedicants. We also have a congregational group called Seekers for those who are not able to make the commitment required of our Dedicants and Initiates. Because of the intimate nature of a group such as this, we typically do not invite people to rituals until they have attended several of our monthly meetings and have gotten to know the members of our group. If you are interested in learning more about our group and possibly being invited to our next monthly meeting, please contact High Priestess Aislin ([email protected]) for more information. We also have recently started a more social pagan group called Los Angeles Pagan Alliance (LAPA). This group may be of interest to those who are looking to meet like-minded pagans in the area, but are not interested in joining a coven. LAPA is open to both men and women as well. If you would like to learn more about LAPA, please see below:

The Los Angeles Pagan Alliance (LAPA) is a group created to serve the pagan community of the Los Angeles area. Based on the Boston Pagan Alliance (which one LAPA moderator was in for many years), the Los Angeles Pagan Alliance is designed to be a group with an online community as well as regular in-person meetings at least once a month. Members may join and participate in the online portion of this group only or may choose to come to our in-person meetings as well. It is totally up to the member to decide their level of participation. This group is open to all men and women 21 and over who consider themselves pagan or pagan-friendly. About our High Priestess:

Aislin Lumina grew up in Valparaiso, IN, a suburb of Chicago, and was raised a devout Methodist. Aislin always had aspirations of working as a clergy member, but after a falling out with the church when she was a teenager, she sought out alternative religions to attempt to sate her spiritual thirst. She studied Buddhism, Hinduism, and Thelema before finding her true spiritual path as a Wiccan, dedicating herself to the goddess on Litha morning 1998. She helped co-found the Boston Pagan Alliance when she was going to school and living in Boston, MA. She moved to Los Angeles in 2004 to pursue a career in music and joined Coven of the Twilight Moon (CTM) in 2008. In 2012, Aislin hived from CTM, becoming the high priestess of a new coven in the Twilight Tradition. This new coven, Coven of Midnight’s Flame, was created to serve the Los Angeles area. In 2015, Coven of Midnight's Flame left the Twilight Tradition to form a new tradition, the Midnight Tradition of Wicca. Aislin holds a bachelor’s degree in songwriting as well as a master’s degree in counseling psychology. Aislin currently works as an Educational Therapist at a private practice in Toluca Lake, Ca. An animal rights activist and vegetarian, she enjoys taking care of her cats as well as her three iguanas. Her chosen specialties include astrology, dream theory and interpretation, as well as Jungian archetypes. Aislin considers Epona to be her patron goddess. In 2013, she was elevated to 3rd degree.

Pagan Pride Day LA/OC Workshop - 2 p.m. - Introduction to Shadow Work for Witches, Empaths, and Spiritually-Minded People - Aislin Lumina
(see more workshop listings in the events section of this page)

Introduction to Shadow Work for Witches, Empaths, and Spiritually-Minded People teaches the basics of shadow work and gives a bird's eye view of the different methods you can use to tap into your shadow and your unconscious mind. Shadow Work is something that a lot of people have become interested in over the past decade, especially within our pagan communities. Some say, it is the most authentic path to enlightenment. And yet, most people don't even know where to begin! In this workshop, I teach what the shadow is, how it is created, and how we can access those parts of ourselves that we reject and push out of our consciousness. The process of keeping the shadow at bay consumes so much energy - energy that we could be using, instead, for our spiritual evolution. Additionally, the shadow contains roles that we tried on once but didn't pursue, and so it is a wellspring of creative energy - if we know how to tap into it! Shadow Work has been known to deepen one's connection with the Divine, amplify spiritual gifts, and increase intuition. The combination of shadow work and energy work together, can accelerate the process. When we begin to address both the blockages in our emotional as well as energetic bodies, we find that we step into a power greater than anything we've ever known.

Aislin has been a practicing witch for the past 25 years and is the founder of the Midnight Tradition, she has been the high priestess of Coven of Midnight's Flame for the past 12 years. Aislin also holds a bachelor's degree in Songwriting, a master's degree in Counseling Psychology, and is a 500 hr. RYT (registered yoga teacher). She holds specializations in Yoga Nidra, Kundalini Yoga, Prenatal Yoga and is a trained doula. Aislin resides in Los Angeles where she enjoys taking care of her five cats and her iguana named Yoshi. She also loves hiking in the mountains, reading, playing video games, playing her guitar, and singing. Find video on www.youtube.com//videos and contact www.facebook.com/bodymindwitchcraft

You're invited to our Samhain ritual on Sunday!

Samhain season is here and as the veils between the worlds continue to thin, our attention is pulled away from this world - whether that means into the spirit realm of our ancestors and dearly departed loved ones or into our own internal landscapes.

You are invited to join us for a deeply touching and cathartic online Samhain ritual presented by Body Mind Witchcraft and Coven of Midnight's Flame.

We'll honor those who've crossed through the veils in a moving and reverent Tolling of the Bells Ceremony.

Afterwards, we'll dive deep into our own psyches as we travel with the goddess Hecate to the crossroads of our shadow selves.

Tickets are available by donation here:

https://www.eventbrite.com/e/samhain-ritual-at-the-crossroads-tickets-456040618767

All ticket holders will receive a Zoom link to attend the ritual live as well as a recording of the ritual afterwards for those who can't attend live or would like to rewatch it!

Energetic exchange: Recommended $10-$15, but no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Any amount you are called to give is appreciated!

Some photos from our Samhain ritual Sunday night!

This was our first in-person ritual at the Covenstead since before the pandemic began and it was so nice to be able to build our ancestor altar outdoors in our ritual space and celebrate under the open sky.

Coven of Midnight's Flame is currently accepting new members. If you live in the Los Angeles area and are interested in joining us, please send us a message or comment below.
