American Legion Post 76 - North Haven, Connecticut Veteran's Service Organization serving the veterans, family members, and community of North Haven, Connecticut.

The post supports veterans in the greater New Haven area, as well as organizing Town events, and supporting Americanism and patriotic initiativ American Legion Post 76, "Murray-Reynolds" post is the "Spirit of '76". Post membership is open to any eligible veteran, and meetings are the third Thursday of every month.

This morning we participated in the respectful retirement of used, worn, ripped, and otherwise unserviceable U.S. Flags.
We are grateful for the assistance of the North Haven Fire Department.
The drop off point for worn flags is the container on the front porch of the American Legion Post 76 next to North Haven Town Hall.

The North Haven Fire Department was proud to participate in the annual Town of North Haven Memorial Day wreath laying ceremony at the town green and parade honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our freedoms. Rainy weather will not keep us away from the important responsibility of honoring the fallen and their families sacrifices made on our behalf.

I want to thank everyone from the grounds keepers to the groups that marched for coming out in this crazy weather to join us in our 80th Anniversary Memorial Day Parade. Last night before deciding wether or not to have the parade we listened to three weather channels and they all said the rain was going to hold off until late afternoon so we decided to go ahead with the parade, so much for the weather men. It was great to see how many people came out to watch the parade some even sitting under tents on their front lawn. See you again next year.
