In Kids Rock, we talked about Jesus' and His disciples continuing to do Jesus' ministry. Today, we focused on Jesus walking on water. We talked about the importance of "keeping our eye on Jesus." I asked the children how did Jesus get to the boat with the disciples? The children knew the answer. We also talked about the importance of trusting God. The children said that they trusted their parents, their siblings, police officers, and their teachers. The children were able to go outside and play on an obstacle game. The children had to jump over a river, hop like a frog, inch along like a snake, and jump from stone to stone to get to the end. Then we enjoyed the beautiful weather and celebrated the beginning of summer with bubbles and ice cream!

In Kids Rock, we talked about Jesus' and His disciples continuing to do Jesus' ministry. Today, we focused on Jesus feeding the 5000 with just 5 loaves and 2 fishes. We talked about how not only did Jesus feed the crowd spiritually but also physically. We begin with welcoming the children, asking for prayer requests and reasons for praise, going over our Bible memory verse, singing songs about the lesson, and watching a video about the Bible lesson. We took a flat balloon and blew it all the way up (completely full,the balloon was 24" round). We wanted to show the children the miracle that Jesus could take very little food and feed over 5000 men, women, and children until they were satisfied and still have leftovers! The children watched a video from The Chosen about the lesson. Then we talked about the importance of Memorial Day, and they made a craft.

Happy Mother's Day from Kids Rock!!

In Kids Rock, we talked about Jesus being the good shepherd. Jesus is a great example for us in our lives that we want to follow. Our mom's are also wonderful examples for our children to follow.

In Kids Rock, we talked about Jesus' and His disciples continuing to do Jesus ministry. Today we focused the miracle when Jesus calms the storm. We talked about trusting in God when we go through the "storms" in our life. We begin with welcoming the children, asking for prayer request and reason for praise, going over our Bible memory verse, singing songs about the lesson, and watching a video about the Bible lesson. The children then built boats out of paper. We learned that Jesus told the storm, "Quiet. Be still." We wrote on the sails "Even the winds and waves obey Him" Matthew 8:27. This is what the disciples said after Jesus calmed the violent storm. The children had fun trying to get their boats to sail.

In Kids Rock, we talked about Jesus' and His disciples continuing to do Jesus ministry. Today we focused on the cost of following Jesus and that Jesus gave up His life for us. Our new Bible verse in John 14:6,"Jesus said to him,' "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" We begin with welcoming the children, asking for prayer request and reason for praise, going over our new Bible memory verse, and singing songs about the lesson. The children are going to go through a maze set up in the classroom. The children had fun making their way through that! We explained that we need to follow the plan God has for us. How do we do that? The children answered, by reading the Bible, praying daily, and listening to our parents.

In Kids Rock, we finished up our Easter lessons with Jesus telling His disciples the Great Commission. This is Jesus' final instruction to His followers to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching obedience to His commands out of Matthew 28:16-20. We played several games about us sharing Gods LOVE everywhere. One of the games was where the children lined up around the room holding a rope. It was to remind the children that they share God's love with someone, and the next person shares God's love with someone, and God's love is shared with more and more people. Then, the children made paper airplanes with messages spreading God's love.
