In Kids Rock, we talked about being DOERS of God's Word. I explained to the children that God's Word is not an aquarium just to be looked at. No, we are called to be doers of the word. I showed the children how we need to be in the world sharing God's love. God's Word shows us what is true about our life, and when we see that we are not living as God wants us to, we need to correct that. When we trust in Jesus, God changes our hearts so that we will want to live a life pleasing to Him. The children made homemade play dough and also made an aquarium to remind them to be doers.

New Series this Weekend! We are studying the Epistle of James as we uncover how our lives must be louder than words. It's one thing to say you follow Jesus, but are we really living for him? Join us Sunday for our first message entitled "Under Pressure" as Pastor Erik explains the purpose of suffering.

We end our INVITE series with being reminded that we are the Salt of the Earth, & Jesus has made us to be fishers of people! Remember we are SENT by Jesus to share His message, pray for people by NAME, and make room to encounter unbelievers in your every day life, so that you can learn their name, and go from small talk to soul talk!

In Kids Rock, we talked about forgiveness. I explained to the children that in the OT, when people needed to ask for forgiveness, they would sacrifice a perfect animal. Then, God sent Jesus to live on the earth, to be hung on a cross, die, and then rise again. He was the perfect sacrifice for all our sins. We are not perfect. We make mistakes and sin. Only Jesus is perfect. God forgives us if we ask, so we need to follow His example and forgive others. Every Sunday, I reminded the children that they can pray anytime and anywhere. That is what Jesus told His followers about forgiveness. He told them we need forgive not just once or twice, but 7 x 70, or endlessly times. We can ask for forgiveness anytime or anywhere, and we should forgive anytime or anywhere. The children worked on crafts that reminded them to follow Jesus's footsteps. Diana went so far as to turn her craft into actual sandals! So cute!! I just love them. The children are so creative.
