This week, we begin a short SERIES on the GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT. This has been a hot topic of debate among brothers and sisters in Christ for a long time.
But what if I told you that often, the more entrenched we become in our divisions, the less likely we are to see what Scripture actually says, and the greater the temptation to superimpose ideas into the text.
The graphic below illustrates this very idea. You could easily replace the sides with other secondary debates such as Arminianism vs. Calvinism. The point is, the goal of Bible study is to see what is actually in the text. This Sunday, the goal will be to look at the text through the lens of faithful exposition and honest discovery, not preconceived positions. Hope you can join us this Sunday @ 10:30 am. Bring a friend!
