The 116th Session of the Palmetto Annual Conference of the Seventh Episcopal District AME Church is quickly approaching, and I am excited about the opportunity to continue serving the Women’s Missionary Society!

On September 9, 2026, during the Palmetto Conference Women’s Missionary Society Annual Meeting at Greater St. Luke AME Church, I humbly but confidently solicit the prayers, support, and VOTES of my Missionary Sisters as I seek to be elected as a Delegate to the 21st Quadrennial Convention of the Connectional Women’s Missionary Society of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

My commitment to the Women’s Missionary Society remains steadfast. I am ready to continue serving with integrity, dedication, and a heart committed to the mission of Christ and the work of our beloved WMS.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up every person affected by the Ebola outbreak, especially the innocent children and families who are suffering. Lord, You are the God of compassion, healing, and mercy. We ask You to stretch forth Your mighty hand over every community facing fear, sickness, loss, and uncertainty.

Protect the children, Lord. Surround them with Your love and keep them safe from harm. Comfort those who are frightened, sick, or grieving. Let them feel Your presence even in the darkest moments. Strengthen parents and caregivers as they work tirelessly to care for their loved ones.

We pray for all who are battling this disease. Bring healing to their bodies, hope to their hearts, and peace to their minds. Guide doctors, nurses, aid workers, researchers, and health officials with wisdom, courage, and endurance as they serve those in need.

Lord, provide resources, medical care, food, shelter, and support for affected communities. Unite nations and organizations in compassion and action. May fear be replaced with faith, despair with hope, and suffering with restoration.

For those who have lost loved ones, wrap them in Your comforting arms. Wipe away their tears and give them strength for each new day. Let Your light shine brightly in every place touched by this outbreak.

We trust in Your unfailing love and ask that Your healing power move across every nation affected. May Your grace sustain the adults, the children, and all who are working to bring relief and recovery.

In Your holy name we pray. Amen.

Leadership in the Kingdom of God never begins with a title—it begins on our knees.

When we say we are Anointed to Serve, we are acknowledging that our capacity to lift others up comes directly from the Holy Spirit. Anointing isn't given for prestige; it is given for the press—the work of reaching the vulnerable, organizing our communities, and strengthening the hands of our sisters across the globe.

As we enter this historic month of June, let us ground ourselves in our foundational mandate: to love mercy, do justly, and walk humbly with our God (Micah 6:8).

We are issuing an urgent call to every clergy person, officer, and member of the AME Church to stand with us in this critical moment. Join us this Sunday, May 3rd, at 6pm EST for our Freedom Summer Kickoff, a connectional effort to organize, mobilize, and protect our communities. As we experience the escalating assault on and erasure of our hard-fought rights, we cannot be silent or still.

Show up, speak up, and stand together as a Connectional church committed to justice and liberation. Our history has taught us that when the AME Church shows up, change becomes possible. Let us honor our legacy by responding with courage, clarity, and conviction as we begin this Freedom Summer.
