Today's teaching is on Signed, Sealed, and Delivered: Living the Reality of Kingdom Citizenship

In the ancient world, when a king issued an official decree, a royal covenant, or a deed of purchase, it was bound up and secured with a wax seal stamped by the king’s own signet ring. If that seal was broken or cracked by an unauthorized person, it was absolute proof that the document had been tampered with—an offense punishable by death. No ordinary person had the legal right to open it. Only the owner, the appointed heir, or a strictly authorized legal authority could break those seals and execute what was written inside.
The Word of God lays out three foundational truths that prove this royal sealing has already made your citizenship an accomplished fact right now.
1. Our Names are Written in Heaven
Our primary citizenship is not tied to this world. The scriptures declare that our citizenship is in heaven because our names are permanently recorded in the Lamb’s Book of Life. For everyone who believes in Jesus Christ and follows after God’s will, this registration is completed.
The world didn’t write your name there, and the world’s chaotic power structures cannot erase it. You are already recorded in the eternal archives of the Kingdom.
Philippians 3:20: “For our conversation [citizenship] is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Revelation 21:27: “…but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”
2. Signed, Sealed, and Delivered by the Ultimate Authority
Just like the ancient royal documents, the Book of Revelation speaks of a heavy scroll of destiny in heaven, closed tight with seven seals. John wept because no one was found worthy to open it—until Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, stepped forward. Only Jesus possessed the blood covenant and the supreme judicial authority to break those seals and execute the Father’s will.
The incredible truth is that the exact same authorization has been placed upon you. We have been sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption according to the scriptures. This seal is your proof of ownership, backed by God Himself. No enemy and no worldly power can break or tamper with the seal God has placed on your life. To make this bond even more absolute, the Word reveals that His Name is on our foreheads.
In the legal reality of the Kingdom, this means you are already signed, sealed, and delivered. Even though our physical bodies are down here on earth, our legal standing is completely secure. We have absolute trust in Jesus Christ that when He returns to gather His church, we will rise to meet Him in the sky.
Ephesians 4:30: “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”
Revelation 22:4: “And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.”
1 Thessalonians 4:17: “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
3. Occupying for Future Glory and Eternal Rewards
After we meet Him in the sky, those who believe in Jesus Christ will enter the Kingdom with him, stepping into our full rights and honors as citizens.
At that precise time, we will stand before the judgment seat of Christ—not to determine our salvation, because our citizenship is already secure, but to be rewarded according to what we have done while on this earth.
Our eternal rewards are entirely based on our works here on earth. Did we follow Jesus? Did we obey God’s commands? Did we let Jesus lead our daily lives? Those who actively execute Kingdom business, proclaim the truth, and stay dedicated to the mandate will receive great rewards and crowns. On the other hand, lesser rewards will be given to those who did not proclaim the word or do what God called them to do. Yet, because of the unshakeable seal of the Holy Spirit, they remain fully recognized Kingdom citizens.
We continue the work on this earth, executing Kingdom business daily, because we know that the future glory waiting for us is tied directly to our obedience today.
1 Corinthians 3:14-15: “If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved…”
Luke 2:49: “…wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?”
