A Sobering Warning Against Relapse and yes Relapse from drugs is connected to Spiritual warfare:

I need to say something with urgency and love—because I’ve seen too much to stay silent. When you open the door to addiction again, you’re not just picking up an old habit… you are inviting in a demonic spirit that you were once delivered from. And it doesn't come back alone.

I've seen it with my own eyes—men who relapse and within hours their entire face changes. The light in their eyes is gone. There's a blank, tormented stare that takes over. Their voice changes. Their spirit shifts. It's terrifying to witness. This isn't just about a “slip”—this is a spiritual war.

Jesus warns us in Matthew 12:43–45 (NIV):

> “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’
When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order.
Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there.
And the final condition of that person is worse than the first…”

Let that sink in. Freedom isn’t just about getting clean—it’s about staying filled. If Jesus delivers you but you don’t fill your life with His Spirit, His Word, His purpose, and His people… the enemy will come back, and he’ll come back harder.

This is why it's not enough to stop using. You must start walking—with Jesus. Fill your life with prayer. Dive into the Word. Stay in fellowship. Don’t just clean the house—occupy it with the Holy Spirit.

Relapse is more than falling back—it can be falling deeper into bo***ge than you ever were before. The enemy wants your soul. But Jesus came to give you life—and life abundantly.

My warning is this and please do take heed to my warning:

Don’t crack the door. Don’t entertain the thought. Don’t flirt with the lie that “just one time” is harmless. It’s not. Stay armored up. Stay accountable. Stay filled. Stay free.

You’ve come too far to go back.
Jesus didn’t just save you from addiction—He saved you for a purpose.

You are not worthless you can be saved

Office of the Global Patriarch
April 21, 2025

To the Clergy, Faithful, and All People of Goodwill,

It is with profound sadness that I, Archbishop Shimon Bar Yonah III, Global Patriarch of the United Free Catholic Church of Christ, extend my deepest condolences to the worldwide Catholic community on the passing of Pope Francis. While our church may have had theological and ecclesiastical differences with the Roman Catholic Church, we share a common bond in our devotion to Christ and our commitment to serving humanity.

Pope Francis was a beacon of hope, compassion, and mercy, inspiring countless individuals around the world with his message of love and inclusivity. His tireless advocacy for the poor, the marginalized, and the environment has left an indelible mark on humanity. We honor his legacy and celebrate the impact of his ministry, which has brought solace, guidance, and spiritual growth to so many.

As we mourn the passing of this great spiritual leader, we also rejoice in the celebration of his life's work. Pope Francis's unwavering dedication to the Gospel and his unrelenting pursuit of peace, justice, and human dignity have been a shining example to us all. His call from earthly labor to heavenly rest is a reminder of the eternal life that awaits us all, and we take comfort in the knowledge that his spirit continues to inspire and guide us.

On behalf of the United Free Catholic Church of Christ, I offer my prayers and condolences to the College of Cardinals, the bishops, priests, and faithful of the Roman Catholic Church. May the memory of Pope Francis's remarkable life and ministry be a source of strength, hope, and inspiration to all who knew him, and to those who continue to be touched by his legacy.

May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory inspire us to continue striving for a world of love, peace, and understanding.

Sincerely,

- Archbishop Shimon Bar Yonah III D.Div.,Ph.D., OSC
