Alhamdulillah, we are very happy and grateful to share some wonderful news with our community: Baraka Islamic School has been officially approved by the State of Ohio to expand through 5th grade! 🎉

This is a major milestone for our school and a tremendous opportunity for us to continue growing and serving our children and families. What started with a small beginning has, by the blessing of Allah, continued to grow—and this approval opens the door for an even brighter future, InshaAllah.

We are truly grateful to Allah ﷻ for this blessing and to everyone who has supported Baraka Islamic School through your duas, encouragement, time, donations, and hard work.

We ask Allah ﷻ to put Barakah in our school, our students, our teachers, and our community; to guide us in providing our children with a strong Islamic and academic education; and to allow Baraka Islamic School to continue growing and benefiting generations to come.

Alhamdulillah for this beautiful milestone! 🤲

We have Three volunteer days, May 9, June 6, and June 13th, and we need help ensuring we have good Muslim representation there! This is a great opportunity to benefit families in need in Stark Country and to help spread our message in sha Allah.

Salam Alikom everyone,

This is a friendly reminder that our monthly potluck will be held this Sunday, inshaAllah, from 3:00–6:00 PM. This month’s topic will be Hajj, and we look forward to a beneficial and engaging discussion together.

We will also be celebrating our one-year anniversary at the new masjid! During the gathering, we will share a brief update on our progress and future roadmap.

In addition, we’ll have some fun quizzes from the Qur’an and Sunnah, with prizes for participants—so be sure to join and take part!

Our beloved brother, Yaqub (James Trolio), returned to his Creator on April 15, 2026.

Please join us *Saturday, April 18 (5:00–8:00 PM)* Masjid Alrahman of Canton (3026 11th St SW) for a simple gathering to come together as a community, support one another, and remember our brother in our du‘a.

Light refreshments will be served. You are welcome to bring a dessert to share.
