The warm weather has finally arrived and it is now grass cutting time once again at the park. As our welcome sign reads as you enter the park β€œOnly fresh cut flowers are allowed on the graves during the grass cutting season.”. We also suggest that you never leave anything of value on a gravesite. We have cut around artificial decorations left on the graves from the winter and Easter three times. We are now removing all artificial decorations. If you would like to retrieve these items, we have placed them in an area by the maintenance yard. We have also removed aluminum flag holders. These may be retrieved by visiting our office between 9 AM – 3PM, Monday through Friday. These may be placed for Memorial Day and we will cut around them once so they may be retrieved the following weekend. Thank you for helping us keep the Memorial Park looking its best.

As of Thursday, June 11th we are happy to announce that our grounds and mausoleums will reopen for visitation. Our business office will remain closed to the general public, but please just give us a call and we are sure we will be able to help you. When visiting, please follow the State's guidelines regarding face masks and social distancing.
We are still conducting burials, cremations and mausoleum entombments with the following restrictions:
Burials: As per the Governor, gathering sizes must be kept to 50 people. This includes Funeral Home staff and Clergy. Please respect this. We will not service the funeral if this guidance is not followed.
Entombments: There is a strict 30 person limit on all chapel services, this includes Funeral Staff and Clergy. Only the Funeral Director and Cemetery Staff will be allowed at the Mausoleum Crypt for the actual entombment. Weather permitting, services may be held outside with 50 people including clergy and funeral home staff. We will not service the funeral if this guidance is not followed.
Cremations: As above, there is a strict limit of 30 people for all chapel services. If you wish to use our witness room there is an 8 person limit.
It is our hope that by following these guidelines and other guidelines enacted by Governor Murphy we will continue to progress toward some kind of normalcy. All of us here at Franklin Memorial Park, having witnessed first hand the devastating effects of this pandemic hope with our hearts that we will not slide backwards to previous restrictions.
