This school year we are going back to our roots. Pastor Jordan taught us the importance of our testimony last school year, something people cannot argue with us about because it is our personal relationship with God. Now he is taking us back to the "beginning", literally the definition of Genesis. As we dive in, we will learn more of the basics and history of our faith. Two of the most debated is found in Genesis chapters 1-3: creation of the world and the fall of man. Last week, Pastor Jordan gave us an overview of these three chapters, taking the next three weeks to go more in depth.

Our church has a pretty even mix of attendees from Citrus and Hernando Counties! Since Spring Break is in March, we had two weeks of gathering and two weeks off. Pastor Jordan went through the book of Ruth. We can learn a lot from Ruth's story. From Naomi we learn not to identify ourselves with our feelings. From Ruth we see how we can be adopted into God's family. From Boaz we learn what it means to be redeemed, a foreshadow of Jesus's redemption of us.

And we're off to MFuge 2026! Thank you to all who picked up a bracelet to pray over a student or leader! Even if you didn't get a bracelet, pray for all of our youth and leaders to come back with full hearts and prepared to continue serving and turning to God.

In February, Pastor Jordan talked about Jesus being love. Jesus' love is personal and it leads to personal change. That means our own personal testimony is to be shared so that everyone can have their own personal encounter with God.

We joined a couple other youth groups and a weekend retreat where we learned to Reach for Jesus even when we feel like we don't deserve it because we don't have to be perfect before we come to God, we just have to be willing to submit to Him.

We also learned in youth group that Jesus' love changes our identity. We no longer have to seek earthly approval because we have received a new identity in Christ and that is one who is loved. With this new identity, our future changes as well as our outlook on others. We go from "What can they do for me?" to "How can I love them like Jesus?"

On the last Wednesday of February, Ms. Kortney gave her testimony. Her story exemplifies how we all seek to be loved and until we meet Jesus we don't know what true, unconditional love feels like. Psalm 56:8 "You yourself have recorded my wanderings. Put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?" God cares about every move we make and tear we cry.

We had our annual Live Unashamed Golf Tournament at the beginning of this month! It was amazing and God kept the torrential downpour for just after we were done, thankfully.

We could not be more thankful for all who participated and sponsored! It is great that we are able to send more youth to camp! ⛳️

What a wonderful and emotional Sunday celebrating our youth group seniors this year! We still have Summer Sessions and Fuge Camp with them to look forward to before they leave. Thankful for the year we have had and how Pastor Jordan has been showing the importance of who God is and our testimony. Remember to live out your testimony and it should always point back to Him!

✨️ Meet our graduating seniors ✨️

Though not a high school senior, Pastor Jordan has graduated from seminary with his Masters of Divinity. He has been faithfully serving the calling to lead the Unashamed Youth Group for five years! We are so thankful for all the love and teachings of Christ that Pastor Jordan has poured out on his students over the years. His favorite Bible verses are Romans 10:13-15 "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news."

We pray God continues to use Pastor Jordan for His purpose and plan!
