Amen.

On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we remember the lives lost and hold all who mourn in prayer.

In the days following 9/11, our global Lutheran partners shared words of prayer and solidarity:

We will be filling school kits and tying quilts for Lutheran World Relief! 💞 Our members and friends have been donating supplies and working on quilts as part of our ongoing dedication to serving our neighbors in our our community and in our world. 💞

September is National Su***de Prevention Month. "Su***de impacts people of all ages, especially youth and young adults. Pray for hope, relief from suffering and skilled, compassionate care for people who struggle with loneliness, depression and mental illness. Pray that they will find comfort and encouragement in knowing that God abandons no one. Ask God to bless and further the work of Lutheran Su***de Prevention Ministry and other organizations engaged in su***de awareness, education, collaboration and advocacy." —Prayer Ventures

Announcements:
A big thank you to all who reached out with cards, calls, texts, flowers, prayers, and food during my recovery from surgery. How blessed I felt (and my family too) by the care shown. ~Christina

The September sign-up sheet is out in the entryway! Please sign up to serve on a Sunday morning to greet, assist with Communion, or one of the other opportunities that make worship so lovely. If you have questions about what a job entails, please call the office during the week and Christina will be happy to help.

Faith Lutheran Church is looking for someone to take on the role of treasurer. This person would need to understand the basics of accounting. Dan Robertson, our current treasurer, is willing to work with the new treasurer until that person is comfortable with the role. If you have questions about the position, feel free to ask Dan. If you or someone you know may be interested in the position, please contact Dan or any other member of council.

Clean up help after coffee hour is always appreciated! Thank you to those who are currently helping, and to those who will help in the future!

Women’s Study and Discussion. The Bad Girls of the Bible and what we can learn from them study is meeting in person on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month. Please contact Liz Brewer at 541-219-9059 with any questions, or to be added to the text group.

Compass Meals Service Opportunities: The sign-up sheet is in the entryway!

Saturday Activities: You are always welcome to come and work on a card, rock, or other crafting project! Supplies are available or you can bring a project from home! Meeting Room #2 at 3 p.m.

Social Ministry Focus for September: God’s Work, Our Hands Sunday is next Sunday, September 13th. Supplies to fill LWR School Bags and Quilt Tying will be available as options to volunteer! Wear your GWOH shirts if you have one!
