A GREAT AWAKENING (~ 1730-1740) came in the midst of moral corruption, deep darkness, demonic deceptions, and spiritual decay, much like our society today. The conditions we see around us are not a hindrance, but make us ripe for a new great awakening that turns the minds and hearts of multitudes towards Christ - but we, the church/followers of Christ need fire, not cold formality, religious routines, empty rituals devoid of fervor, a form of Godliness without power. A fresh wind of the Spirit is blowing that we cannot and must not try to control - we must respond to the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to raise the spiritual temperature in our lives, our homes, His church, the communities around us, and across the nation.

Jesus, in compassion for people, wept over the city, but still told of its coming destruction. Love does not hide truth to save feelings - it speaks truth to save souls. Having His heart for people does not allow for holding back from sharing the whole counsel of God. It is not mean to speak truth, but merciful.

David Fisher and his wife Shelly came to Crossroads this Summer to minister in our services. I asked him to intentionally point people to the altar as we are working to encourage a culture of pursuing the presence of God. David came and preached an incredible message that was Holy Spirit led. Our congregation RESPONDED to the power of God, and we had such amazing feedback about his ministry that we’ve booked them for our Fall Conference in 2027. I’m grateful to God for the Fan Into Flame Ministries and David’s heart for the church. A VERY PRESENT HELP - After the feeding of the five thousand Jesus sent the disciples out in a boat to cross the sea (See Mark 6:45-52). At the same time, He went to the mountain to pray, and then something amazing occurs. The disciples are together in a boat, in a storm, and struggling tremendously - they were in trouble. Jesus, alone on the land, SAW THEM straining at rowing. But, it doesn't end there! Seeing them, He immediately CAME TO THEM and got in the boat with them. When He entered their situation, immediately the storm ceased. ARE YOU IN TROUBLE? He may seem distant, but He sees, and in a moment is able to be present and no storm, whether in the physical or spiritual realm, can stop Him. He is a PRESENT HELP. He is, with God, forever interceding for you even as He was for the disciples in their storm. Welcome His presence into your situation and He comes immediately. The storm will cease, if not the storm around you, the storm within you, and you will receive a peace, a strength, a courage, a confident assurance that is beyond human and beyond natural - His help is supernatural.
