Dear Parishioners:
We have been made aware that someone is sending out texts which appear to have come from Fr. Blaney. In some cases, they are from a phone number listed as (774) 532-5489.

The text, which is a scam message, may read along the lines of:
“Hello ___, please let me know if you’re available. I need a favor and would appreciate your assistance. I am currently running into a meeting with limited phone access, so a Text reply would be best.”

Please be aware that our pastor would never send out a text or an email requesting money, gift cards, or urgent financial help. There are ministries in place to assist those in need.

Please do not respond to texts or emails! Your safety and peace of mind are important to us. Sadly, these kinds of impersonation scams are becoming more common for churches and nonprofits. Thank you for your vigilance.
