On Sunday, July 5, our pastor, Fr. Stephan Baljian, paid a visit to AYF Camp Haiastan, where the popular “Zartonk Teen Session” is underway. This visit took place by arrangement of His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan Tanielian, Prelate, as part of a partnership between the Camp and the Eastern Prelacy, which provides spiritual nourishment to the campers as well as a chance for encounter with the Armenian Aposolic Church and her clergy.

During the visit, Der Hayr led the “Jashoo Badarak” service (first portion of the Divine Liturgy), preached a spiritual message to the campers and staff and distributed Holy Communion. He was assisted by several campers, including Andrew Movsessian and Cameron Afarian of Saint Gregory Church.

Der Stephan also had a chance to greet counselor Unger Armen Kourkounian and camper Samantha Janian, who are also Saint Gregory’s parishioners.

Saint Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church wishes continued success to the Armenian Youth Federation and Camp Haiastan during the 2026 youth summer camp sessions.

During the week of June 28-July 5, our pastor, Fr. Stephan Baljian, served as an instructor at the St. Gregory of Datev Institute in New Jersey. Our parish also partially sponsored two altar servers, Nishan Baljian and Hovig Baljian, who attended along with their father.

Organized by the Eastern Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church of America, this annual summer youth program brought together nearly 50 students and staff from Prelacy parishes across the eastern United States.

The program, which consists of four levels and a post-graduate level, is geared toward teaching youth about the faith of the Armenian Apostolic Church and fostering a sense of spirituality and commitment to Jesus Christ and the mission of the Church through the Holy Gospel.

Throughout the week, along with their daily classes, the youth engage in various recreational and community-building activities, and also have a chance to form bonds of fellowship with each other and with the clergy instructors.

Education, fellowship and worship are the three pillars of the Datev Community. All three were found in great measure, plus an extra dosage of fun, during the 2026 St. Gregory of Datev Institute summer program!

On Thursday, June 18, the stage was set for our Men's Club's annual Cigar Night event. Held for the first time at the luxurious Danversport Yacht Club, this yearly tradition gathered together a cheerful crowd for cocktails, a fabulous spread of hors d'ouevres, a festive Surf and Turf dinner, silent auction and, of course... some relaxation time sharing premium ci**rs among friends.

During the evening, the winners of our 2026 Super Raffle were also revealed. This year, a record-breaking number of tickets were sold, thanks to the hard work and dedication of our Men's Club, Cigar Night Committee and entire church community.

We would like to thank all who contributed to the tremendous success of this year's Cigar Night event, whether by attending, volunteering or purchasing or selling raffle tickets. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
