🙏🏾 God of Love & Justice,

Protect immigrants, refugees, and LGBTQIA+ siblings from harm, fear, and oppression.

Surround them with safety, hope, and community. Shelter families fleeing violence, guide children walking alone.

Strengthen those who defend the vulnerable, who speak truth to power, and open hearts to radical inclusion. May our words and actions reflect courage and compassion.

Teach us to dismantle systems of hate, to stand with the stranger, the marginalized, the oppressed, and the lonely.

May we honor Jesus in every life at risk, for a . Amen

The sanctuary has been quieter than usual as friends, neighbors, and community members have departed the area for summer memory-making and adventures.

As many return for the Autumn season and back-to-school preparations, we are readying the church!

"Spirit Sunday," scheduled for September 13,2026, represents our official "homecoming,' a time to reconnect with members old and new, gather for worship and fellowship, and bask in the uplifting sentiments shared by Rev. Janet, who helms our pulpit.

We have missed and look forward to seeing everyone soon! We hope you'll come and be part of the spirit and join a church that is rising!

🙏🏾 Dear God,

We know you give us the power to do what is right; that there will be no lightening bolts striking down the oppressors. That it is incumbent that we find our strength and resolve through you and be the catalyst for the change we seek.

Help us to raise up our voices and not just speak out against injustice, but seek peaceful action to change this world.

Today, it is hard to shine, with the weight of all the oppression in our world, but help us flicker and keep our flames alive.

In Jesus' name we ask, Amen.

🙏🏾 Dearest God, who has brought all things into being through Your light,

We pray that peace will blossom in the hearts of everyone who is afraid,
May those blooms infuse every circumstance with the the fragrance of Christ --the fragrance of improbable, mysterious triumph.

We pray that peace will descend like tongues of fire in our hearts and in the hearts of our leaders. Transform our hearts until they glow so hot that masks of deception and denial fall away, leaving the clarity and courage we need to follow the ways of Christ's peace.
