It’s easy to open the Bible just to find a verse to post, a line to
quote, or a truth to prove a point. But God didn’t give us His Word to impress people, He gave it to transtorm us.

The goal of Scripture isn’t information, it’s obedience. Not just knowing what God said, but actually living the way He calls us to live. Not just highlighting verses, but allowing those verses to highlight the areas in our hearts that still need surrender.

The Word of God is meant to shape our character, correct our attitudes, soften our hearts, and align our choices with His will. If reading the Bible never challenges us, convicts us, or changes us, then we might be studying it for knowledge instead of for transformation.

Let’s not settle for being hearers of the Word only. Let’s be doers. Let’s read not just to quote, but to repent, to forgive, to love better, to walk in humility, and to obey even when it’s uncomfortable.

Because the greatest evidence that we truly know His Word... is not how much we can recite, but how much we actually live. 🙏🏻🤍

The prodigal son came home with guilt heavy on his heart and an apology on his lips. But before he could speak a word, his Father was already running—arms wide, love overflowing, mercy rushing to meet him.

That’s the heart of our God. He doesn’t wait for perfect words or flawless repentance; He meets us on the road, covers us with grace, and restores us with love.

It’s never too late to come home—because Heaven runs faster than guilt, and the Father’s embrace is always greater than our shame. 🙏🏻🤍

💪 New Sermon Series Begins This Sunday!

Life isn't always easy. We all face challenges, obstacles, and seasons when we wonder if we have the strength to keep going.

Join us this June for our new 3-week series: Strength for the Journey, as we head towards Father's Day.

Together we'll discover what real biblical strength looks like—not strength found in ourselves, but strength found through faith in Jesus.

No matter where you are on your journey, God has strength for the road ahead.

Next Sunday, June 14th, Pastor Jenna and the worship team will be away for the week so we will have a guest Pastor speaking, Pastor Dennis Castella, and also a guest leading worship! We hope you will join us for that!

📍 Blackinton Union Church
📅 Sundays at 10:00 AM

Bring a friend and join us as we discover that true strength isn't found in standing alone—it's found in trusting Jesus and helping others along the way.

Some people were hurt by people who claimed to represent God, and that pain is real.
But humans failing you is not proof that God failed you.

The enemy would love nothing more than for your wounds to turn into distance from the One who can heal them.

The church may have hurt you.
People may have betrayed you.
But Jesus is still holy, still faithful, and still reaching for you.

Don’t let broken people make you abandon a perfect Savior. 🤍🙏🏻

There is no such thing as praying too much. In a world that’s noisy, chaotic, and full of constant demands, prayer becomes our sacred pause—the moment we breathe, surrender, and reconnect with the One who holds everything together.

Pray a lot.
Pray when you’re joyful and when you’re hurting.
Pray when you’re confident and when you’re crumbling.
Pray when the words don’t come out right—or at all.

Pray for the big, the impossible, the “this sounds silly” things.
Pray for the everyday moments—the traffic, the deadlines, the dinner plans.
Pray for your loved ones, for strangers, for peace, for healing, for strength.

Keep that line between you and God always open. Not just in crisis or celebration, but in the in-between moments—the ones that seem ordinary but are sacred in His hands.

And as you pray, watch how tiny miracles begin to bloom in unexpected places.
Because prayer doesn’t just change situations—it changes us. 🙏🏻🤍
