Many people want the promise of heaven, but how many truly desire the presence of God?

We want eternal life, but do we seek Him while we still have breath? We want to be with Him forever, but do we make room for Him in our lives today? We want the blessings of His kingdom, but are we willing to surrender to His lordship?

God is not just a destination we hope to reach when we die. He is the Lord we are called to know, love, obey, and walk with while we live.

Following Jesus is not about being perfect or spending every moment in prayer. It’s about having a heart that desires Him, a life that is being changed by His Word, and a willingness to turn back to Him when we fall.

Don’t wait until eternity to desire the God you have neglected on earth. Seek Him now. Know His Word. Walk in obedience. Make Him more than someone you call on when life gets hard.

Because the question is not just whether you want to go to heaven. The question is: Do you truly desire the God who is there?

Choosing a church isn’t just about finding a place where you feel comfortable.

It’s about finding a church where your children are known, loved, taught, and welcomed. 🤍

I want my children to grow up knowing that church isn’t somewhere they are sent while the adults worship.

I want them to know that they are part of the church too.

A good church makes room for children.

It teaches them Scripture in ways they can understand.

It gives them opportunities to serve.

It lets them participate in worship.

It prays over them.

It celebrates their milestones.

It has adults who know their names and genuinely care about their lives.

It creates a safe environment where they can ask questions about God without being made to feel ashamed for not knowing the answers.

It gives them opportunities to see older generations living out their faith—and to build relationships with people who will encourage them in their walk with Jesus.

And most importantly, a good church doesn’t simply entertain children.

It disciples them.

Because our goal shouldn’t be to raise children who enjoy going to church because there’s a fun activity waiting for them.

Our goal should be to raise children who understand why they are there.

Children who know God’s Word.

Children who know how to pray.

Children who know they belong to the body of Christ.

Children who see church as a family—not just a building they visit once a week.

I want my children to grow up surrounded by people who will pray for them, teach them, encourage them, correct them with love, and point them back to Jesus.

Because eventually, they’ll have to choose whether their faith is truly their own.

And I pray that the foundation we build at home, alongside a church family that faithfully invests in them, gives them something worth carrying for the rest of their lives.

Some seasons will stretch you, break you, and bring you to places you never would have chosen for yourself.

But God wastes nothing.

What feels like a season you want to escape may be the very place where He is deepening your faith, strengthening your character, and teaching you to trust Him more.

You may not understand why you’re in it yet—but one day, you may look back and thank God for what He built in you there.

The season you wanted to skip may be the season God used to grow you. 🙏🏻🤍

You don't have to have a perfect past or a flawless present to point someone to Christ. Let them see what His grace has done in you. Sometimes the most powerful testimony is simply the person you're becoming because of Him.
