If you were in downtown North Adams on Monday evening, you might have heard the All Saints bell toll 23 times. Monday was International Overdose Awareness Day, and the 23 tolls of the bell represented the 23 lives lost to overdose in Berkshire County in 2025.

There are many wonderful organizations and community groups working on this issue, and their hard work is paying off: overdose fatalities in Berkshire County decreased 44% from 2024. But every life lost is a tragedy, and there is still more work to be done.

One of the best things we can do as a community is to talk about this issue and raise awareness: shame and stigma only make things worse. So talk to your friends, neighbors, and elected officials and learn more about addiction, overdose, and recovery.

Thank you so much to all the wonderful volunteers who staffed the All Saints Cafe during Motorama! Thank you as well to everyone who came by to get lemonade, snow cones, a hot dog, or just to chat. It's a wonderful community event, and we can't wait to participate again next year!

Thank you so much to the First Congregational Church, North Adams for hosting us this past Sunday! It was wonderful to be together in fellowship, and we are so grateful for your welcome and hospitality. Thank you as well to everyone from All Saints who came out to worship with our neighbors: it was great to make new friends and connect to old ones, and we look forward to more collaboration in the future.
