✦ An evening in Philadelphia ✦
The Compass Rose Society had the honor of welcoming the Most Rev. and Rt. Hon. Stephen Cottrell, Archbishop of York and his wife, Rebecca, for two wonderful evenings that celebrated the impact of the Compass Rose Society around the world and raised money to ensure that work continues in the future.
On May 24, the Archbishop gathered with clergy and laity for a formal dinner at Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral. He was hosted by Bishop Daniel Gutiérrez (Pennsylvania & President of the Compass Rose Society) and joined by Bishop Sally French (New Jersey). Archbishop Stephen spoke passionately about the need for connection across the Communion, “We belong to each other,” he said. The award winning St. Thomas Gospel Choir made the evening truly special.
We give thanks for the friendships that span the Communion, and for everyone who helped make this evening possible. 🕊️
