As Pride month begins, save the date for a gathering commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 1976 General Convention resolution declaring that LGBTQ+ people have a full and equal claim to the pastoral care and support of The Episcopal Church. The event, “Full and Equal: 50 Years in Pursuit of a Promise,” will celebrate progress and acknowledge the work that remains.

The three-day gathering, held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Sept. 3-5, will include storytelling coaching, workshops, a banquet, and a Eucharist featuring Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe as presider and Bishop Gene Robinson as preacher. Spanish-language interpretation will be available.

More registration details will follow. Please save the date and help spread the word.

Reminder to come out to this incredible event we are proud to be co-sponsoring

Join acclaimed author and activist Jamie Bruesehoff (she/they) for a meaningful conversation about what it means to parent with love and courage—especially as a q***r parent of a trans youth.

Jamie is an award-winning advocate, sought-after speaker, and heartfelt writer. She’s an openly q***r woman married to a Lutheran pastor and mom to three spirited kids, including her eighteen-year-old transgender daughter. She shares her family’s story because she believes stories are how we build bridges—toward understanding, compassion, and real change.

This isn’t just a talk. It’s a chance to be in a room together, listen, reflect, ask questions, and walk away with something solid: a clearer picture of how we create a safer world for trans youth—locally, practically, and right now.

A Conversation to Look Forward To
We're spotlighting two panelists joining us for our March 26th discussion.

Sean Harvey, MSOD, MSEd
Founder & Men’s Engagement Strategist | Warrior Compassion Institute

Founder of the Warrior Compassion Institute, Sean leads initiatives that engage the hardest to reach men in the hardest to access systems—police, first responders, defense, energy, construction, and tech—to humanize leadership and culture from within. His trauma-informed, systems-based approach addresses the deeper drivers of hate, polarization, and extremism while fostering compassion, trust, and humanity in organizations.

Jon Carl Lewis
Q***r Liberative Theologian, Spiritual Guide

Jon Carl explores healthy integration of the sexual/erotic and the spiritual through contemplative, embodied spiritual practices.

Sean Harvey and Jon Carl Lewis bring spiritual perspective to our panel— and their work speaks for itself:

Sean wrote a book: Warrior Compassion, Unleashing the Healing Power of Men
Jon Carl is working to reconcile Christianity with q***rness
and holding summits for parents and families of q***r folk
Sean is challenging the corporate world to reimagine the relationship between leadership and masculinity.

On this Transgender Day of Remembrance we are remembering the saints whose lives and work were dedicated to the full inclusion and flourishing of the trans community.

"The Rev. Iain Michael was an active leader in the TransEpiscopal community for many years. He was part of advocacy efforts leading up to and at the 2012 General Convention at which “gender identity and expression” were added to the Episcopal Church’s nondiscrimination canons for access to the ordination process and all levels of leadership in the Church."

“You are holy. You are sacred. We love you. We support you, and we will protect you.”

I affirm this again today, joining with heads of religious traditions from United Church of Christ, ReformJudaism.org The Episcopal Church and others. And I will continue to affirm it until we live in a world where people of all gender identities and expressions are celebrated as holy and whole and we can all thrive in the safety and love of our communities.
