As a Christian community of faith we strive to follow Jesus’ example and welcome all people. Our goal is to be an inclusive fellowship of God’s people, breaking down all those barriers which divide us: age, race, ethnicity, language, gender, sexual orientation, class, wealth, physical and mental abilities, and all other sources of oppression. We believe that God is a mystery…a mystery, like our ow

n lives, to be experienced and celebrated rather than a puzzle to be solved. That’s why we honor questions as much as answers. Together, we seek to explore the mysteries of our lives and of the world around us, and to serve the whole human family as Christ served us.

As a new school year begins, we sent our students and teachers off with a Backpack Blessing and three simple tokens: a "You Got This!" tag to remind you that you are strong and courageous, a squishy star to squeeze when days get tough, and a journal for your brilliant ideas, questions, and dreams.

We also brought extra backpacks and prayed that our kindness reaches every student who needs a friend.

Blessed with their unique identities, we are reminded that God goes with us, Christ walks beside us, and the Spirit shines through us in every place we learn and grow.
