Today marks the beginning of the most solemn season on the Church calendar as we begin the season of Lent by observing Ash Wednesday. May we not look to the sins of others, but especially throughout the season of Lent proclaim, "I, a poor miserable sinner...." In true repentance there is forgiveness, not by any actions of our own, but through Christ Himself.

"From dust you were born, to dust you shall return."
