Join us in person as we will be recognized as a Creation Justice Church! 10 am Pacific time, 4.25.26. Zoom is an option too.

🌍 Save the Date! The fourth annual Earth Summit is coming soon, and this year’s theme is “A Future with Hope” (Jeremiah 29:11). In a world facing climate crisis and injustice, we gather as people of faith to be inspired, equipped, and united for action.

✨ Hear a powerful keynote from Rev. Dr. Kenneth Samuel, a passionate advocate for justice and pastor of Victory for the World Church in Decatur, Georgia.

💡 Don’t miss our panel, “Power to the People: Energy Justice for an Equitable Future,” featuring leaders like Dr. Shalanda Baker, Chandra Farley, and Brionté McCorkle—voices at the forefront of energy justice and sustainability.

🌱 Celebrate hope in action as we honor the winners of the Dollie Burwell Prophetic Action Award and the Climate Hope Art Contest for children and youth. We’ll also welcome our newest Creation Justice Churches and our first Climate Hope Affiliates!

📍 If you’re in Atlanta, join us in person at First Congregational Church of Atlanta United Church of Christ. Everyone is welcome to register and participate online or in person—let’s build a future rooted in justice and hope, together.

🗓️ Join us April 25th as we kick off 250 days of Kindness!

🙌🏾 We are proud to join the USofKindness (USK) and accept the USK 250 Acts of Kindness Call to Action for 2026.

As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, we invite churches, congregations, and individuals to join us in elevating the kindness already happening and inspiring even more across our communities. Whether you’re a faith leader, a member of a congregation, or someone seeking to make a difference, your acts of kindness matter.

🙏🏾 Jesus,

I love you and thank you for loving me.
Loving me when I'm patient, and when I'm not. Loving me when I'm kind, and when I'm not.
Loving me when I'm thriving, and when I'm not. Loving me when I'm generous, and when I'm not. Loving me when I'm forgiving, and when I'm not. Loving me when I'm selfless, and when I'm not. Loving me when I'm helpful, and when I'm not. Loving me when I'm courageous, and when I'm not. Loving me when I'm following you, and when I'm not. Loving me when I'm ______, and when I'm not.

Thank you for loving me unconditionally as I am.

🎉 Happy National Punctuation Day!

At the UCC, we celebrate the comma, and embrace the words of Gracie Allen: “Never place a period where God has placed a comma.”

When we talk about DEI, let’s not shrink it down to just three letters. Let’s say what it really stands for: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Because when someone says they are against DEI, they are saying they are against diversity, equity, and inclusion. And if that’s the case, then they are for the opposite: division, inequity, and exclusion. What kind of world is that? What kind of faith would that be?

Jesus welcomed the outsider, lifted up the marginalized, and preached love without boundaries. He modeled inclusion in every meal, every story, every act of healing. So when we say yes to diversity, equity, and inclusion, we are saying yes to the way of Jesus.

As the Florida Conference of the United Church of Christ, we affirm that God’s radical love leaves no one out. May we always be bold enough to say it in full: Diversity. Equity. Inclusion.

🙏🏾 God of Shalom.

We pray our eyes will open to see that our climate is changing.

That natural disasters are happening more frequently and are more severe.

We pray, that we can take action to slow down climate change.

We pray that we can take better care of Earth.

Forgive us God, for hurting the Earth. Amen.
