MEN, WE’RE BACK!

Tomorrow morning we kick off a new season of our Men’s Breakfast at Three Tree, and we’d love to have you join us.

Saturday, September 5th
8:30 AM

Good food, good conversation, a little encouragement, and a chance to spend some time together as we begin another season.

If you’ve joined us before, come on back.

If you’ve never been, tomorrow is a great morning to start.

Bring a friend, bring your appetite, and come spend the morning with us.

See you at 8:30!

August comes to an end today.

For some of us it was a really good month. For others, August brought some things we didn't expect, a few prayers we're still waiting on, and maybe some circumstances we hoped would look different by now.

Most of us probably experienced a little of both.

That's usually how life works.

Through all of it, one thing hasn't changed.

God has been faithful.

He was faithful on the good days, faithful through the difficult ones, faithful when we could clearly see what He was doing and faithful when we couldn't understand it at all.

Scripture reminds us,

“The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”
Lamentations 3:22–23

Tomorrow morning the calendar will say September.

More importantly, there will be new mercy waiting for us when we get there.

So tonight we can thank God for August, including some of the things we didn't understand, and trust Him with whatever September brings.

We don't know everything that's waiting for us in the month ahead.

We know Who will be there when we arrive.

And that's enough.

What is one thing you're thanking God for as August comes to a close?

Some weeks take a little more out of us than others.

By Friday, we can be tired, distracted, maybe even a little discouraged by the things that didn’t go the way we hoped.

Then we’re reminded of something Jesus said:

“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28

Notice He didn’t say, “Get everything figured out first.”

He simply said, “Come to me.”

Sometimes that’s exactly what we need at the end of a long week.

Not another answer. Not another thing to accomplish. Just some time in His presence, remembering that we were never meant to carry everything ourselves.

Whatever this week has looked like for you, don’t carry it alone into the next one.

Bring it to Jesus.

And if you need a place to do that, we’d love to have you join us at Three Tree this Sunday.

Come as you are. There’s room for you here.
