Day 4: Beauty from Brokenness

Devotional
The woman who broke the alabaster jar over Jesus demonstrated something profound about worship - sometimes what looks wasteful to the world looks beautiful to God. Her extravagant act was criticized by others as excessive and impractical, but Jesus received it as a beautiful expression of love and devotion. God often uses our broken places to release the greatest fragrances in our lives. Just as the woman's broken jar released expensive perfume that filled the entire house, our brokenness can become the very thing that brings glory to God and blessing to others. The enemy wants us to believe that our brokenness disqualifies us, but God sees it differently. Our scars, struggles, and shattered dreams don't disqualify us from worship - they position us to honor God in unique ways. When we offer our broken pieces to Jesus, He transforms them into something beautiful. Our pain becomes our platform, our mess becomes our message, and our brokenness becomes a fragrant offering that touches heaven. Worshipers see value where others see waste. They understand that extravagant love for Jesus is never excessive, even when the world doesn't understand.

There's a beautiful mystery in how God transforms us. Many people want change in their lives but skip the most important step - spending time in God's presence. The secret to transformation isn't found in trying harder or following more rules. It's discovered in beholding God's glory. As we gaze upon God - through worship, prayer, and His Word - something supernatural happens. We begin to reflect His character and nature. This isn't behavior modification; it's glory transformation. Just like Moses' face shone after spending time with God, we too are changed when we consistently position ourselves before Him. The Christian life isn't about white-knuckling our way to holiness. It's about falling so in love with Jesus that we naturally begin to look like Him. When worship becomes our lifestyle, transformation becomes inevitable. We don't change ourselves - God changes us as we behold His beauty and surrender to His love. This process requires patience and consistency. Transformation happens gradually as we maintain our gaze on Jesus, allowing His glory to reshape our hearts, minds, and character.

Day 2: First Fruits, Not Leftovers

Devotional
The story of Cain and Abel teaches us something crucial about the kind of worship God desires. Both brothers brought offerings, but God accepted Abel's while rejecting Cain's. The difference wasn't in the gift itself, but in the heart behind it. Abel brought the best portions of his flock - his first and finest. Cain simply brought some of his harvest, likely whatever was convenient or left over. This principle challenges how we approach our relationship with God today. Do we give Him our first and best energy, or do we offer Him our leftovers when we're exhausted and depleted? God desires worship that costs us something because it demonstrates the value we place on our relationship with Him. When we give God the first of our day, the first of our week, the first of our resources, we're declaring that He is our highest priority. This isn't about earning His love - it's about expressing ours. True worship flows from a heart that recognizes God's worth and responds with sacrificial love.

We got to dedicate the newest member of Legacy Church yesterday at church with a few of the ladies surrounding the mom and baby. So happy for the family. That turned into a prayer meeting after service and received a text after church that said - there was heat in my back where the pain was and the pain is all gone. Then right before services ended we had 2 people raise their hands to give their life to Jesus. It was another fantastic Sunday of encountering the manifested presence of God. In 25 weeks we have had 8 first time salvations and around 20 confirmed healings (A couple of them would be classified as miracles). God is moving in our midst, what a privilege to be a part of it.

Day 1: Made for More Than Busy

In our fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the endless cycle of tasks, responsibilities, and distractions. We rush from one thing to the next, checking items off our to-do lists, but often missing the deeper purpose for which we were created. Before God gave Adam any work to do, He gave him His presence. This reveals something profound about our design - we were made for relationship with God first, not just productivity. God is actively seeking worshipers - not performers, not people who simply attend church, but those whose hearts belong completely to Him. When we recognize that worship is our primary calling, everything else falls into proper perspective. Our work becomes an act of worship, our relationships become opportunities to reflect His love, and our daily routines become sacred moments of connection with our Creator. The beautiful truth is that God desires your heart more than your performance. He's not looking for perfect voices or flawless ex*****on. He's seeking yielded hearts that recognize His worth and respond with genuine adoration.
