Her holistic approach to well-being has touched the lives of people in Colombia and internationally, including Mexico, the United States, Spain, Ecuador, Honduras, and Argentina.

Milena is known for integrating psychological insight with spiritual wisdom, creating compassionate spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, navigate life's challenges, and discover greater emotional balance and inner peace. She is also recognized for her gift of communicating with the angels, offering messages of guidance, hope, and purpose that inspire healing, reflection, and spiritual awakening. Her international experience, heartfelt presence, and deep spiritual sensitivity have made her a trusted guide for individuals and communities seeking healing, clarity, and transformation.

August 30, 2026 - Shiitake Mama

“Spiritual Gifts of Mushrooms”

Shiitake Mama, PhD, formerly Sandra Dutreau Perky Williams, has a history of teaching, writing, growing mushrooms, acting in and directing plays, and training mushroom farmers abroad. She and her husband Doug Williams have been growing mushrooms on logs since 1986 in Perkins. They've volunteered with USAID to help African farmers with food security and economic stability, and formed a non-profit to support mushroom production in West Africa. They traveled to China, India, and Italy learning about medicinal mushrooms.

A late-in-life psychic, Shiitake channels “Messages from Mushrooms” as herself and as Madame Tremella, a Romanian comedic psychic whose messages flow in through a Tremella mushroom on her head. Shiitake is a member of the Unitarian-Universalist Church of Stillwater and Sunset Spiritualist Church in Wells, Kansas. She is writing a book, its title provided by the Morel mushrooms, Everything is Always Singing.

Through an intuitive counselor, the mushrooms asked me to tell humans that they are more than just fuel. “We are healers and spiritual teachers.” I’ll be sharing samples of our 10-plus years’ collaboration about living, healing, and loving, and our relationships with all that is.

Amy Thurman - Just Beyond the Circle

What if what you’ve been searching for is closer than you think?

In Just Beyond the Circle, Amy Thurman challenges the idea that connecting with the deepest part of ourselves requires going somewhere else, becoming someone else, or having all the answers.

Drawing from her own journey and inspired by Sean Collyns’ interpretation of Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man in “Your Soul Is the Source of Your Power”, Amy offers a perspective that may change the way you see yourself and what has been within reach all along.

Amy Thurman is an authenticity expert, best-selling author, and international speaker on a mission to help people forget who they were taught to be so they can remember who they are meant to be.

After an accident left her living for ten years with a broken neck that initially went undiagnosed for six months, Amy was forced to rebuild a life she no longer recognized and, in the process, discovered the importance of the relationship we have with ourselves.

Her work has been featured in The San Francisco Examiner, SF Weekly, Authority Magazine, and Bold Journey, as well as on a Times Square billboard, and she has been recognized alongside thought leaders including Brené Brown and Mel Robbins.

Amy has spoken internationally, including at the University of Oxford, inspiring audiences to embrace authenticity, deepen their relationship with themselves, and live with greater purpose, courage, and alignment.

We look forward to seeing you in-person or on zoom on Sunday morning.

August 16th: Byron Jackson
Hope (rhymes with soap)

Byron Jackson has spent a lifetime helping people build bridges with those who are different from themselves. For more than 52 years, Byron dedicated his life to nonprofit and community service, building a career centered on helping people connect with one another and strengthen their communities.

He served for many years as a substance abuse counselor and prevention presenter. For the last 27 years of his career, Byron served at Possibilities, where he eventually became Executive Director. The organization’s mission was to bring people together to improve the communities where they lived and worked.

Since 2004, Byron has also performed as a DJ under the name Brown Gravy, using music to bring people together at weddings, celebrations, and community events.

Today, Byron continues building bridges through Breakfast With Byron, hosting one-on-one conversations and community gatherings that encourage understanding across differences. He also serves on the Board of Directors of OKC Club 29 Rotary and on the governing board of Aztec Charter School.

Whether through nonprofit leadership, music, or a conversation over breakfast, Byron’s work has always been guided by one simple belief: We all have far more in common than what separates us. Our greatest strength is found in our connection with one another.

Hope (rhymes with soap).
Today there are countless forces trying to wash away our hope-our hope in one another, our hope in joy, and even our hope in life itself. Yet this is not a new struggle. Throughout history, people have faced slavery, the Holocaust, the forced removal and massacre of Native peoples, the persecution of women, wars, injustice, and countless other hardships.

In every generation, there have been those who refused to surrender hope. Their courage carried us through the darkest moments and into better days.

In his presentation, Byron invites us to explore how hope is not simply a feeling— it is a choice we make every day. Together, we will discover ways to strengthen hope in ourselves and in one another. Carry the mantle. Make sure hope survives.
"Be not afraid."
