Our Story
Rocky and Joske Malloy founded Mission Generation in 1990 during the Sandinista War to minister to Miskito Indians on both sides of the Nicaraguan/Honduran border. In 1996, they followed their calling to Santa Cruz, Bolivia where they founded Iglesia Rio de Vida (River of Life Church) and pastored until 2005. Dozens of Bible schools and hundreds of churches were birthed as a result.
In 1999 they started a ministry to public-school students as an extension of their Bible schools which has since expanded to other Latin American countries, Asia, the Middle East and most recently the U.S. The most successful program to date is the school chaplain program reaching the Spanish speaking world. This year over 2 million young people will be served by the combined school programs.
After 28 years of living overseas, the Malloy family moved to Houston, Texas to produce lessons on early childhood brain development for low income families that will be distributed through WIC, a federal program servicing 7 million women a month nationwide.
