Magnify Church We are a small church in Norman, OK, and we do things a little differently. We meet at 4:00PM in the afternoon sitting around tables as we worship.

Every part of our gathering is done in community, which draws us together as we draw near to God.

In Numbers 31, did Moses complete God's command for vengeance? It's a great point raised here by Kristi (see her video here https://f.mtr.cool/to6e2zjnzj It gets into the question of descriptive (describing what happened historically) and prescriptive (instructing us how to live) passages in scripture. Ultimately, this passage points to Moses going beyond God's command here, even to the point of killing women and children, which makes it descriptive rather than prescriptive.
However, while this passage may NOT be God commanding men, women, and children to be put to death. There may be another passage that does in 1 Samuel 15. Join us next Sunday as we look into this Problematic Passage.

Last week we packed 21 backpacks for kids in Cleveland County's foster care system — and every single one was requested directly by a caseworker on our C-Team unit. That's the part that gets us every time: this isn't a generic supply drive, it's a real caseworker naming a real kid with a real need, and our people showing up because of it.

Huge thanks to our friends Redeemer Church - Norman for hosting us again this year and packing right alongside us — this is year three of this tradition, and it's already one of our favorite things we do all year.

This week in our church's Bible study, we are in 2 Chronicles.
2 Chronicles 20:12 says, "We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You."
This is a beautiful reminder that, even when we can't see, God is still in control. Even when we don't know what to do, we can still fix our eyes on the Lord. He is always faithful and always knows what is best. We can trust Him NO MATTER WHAT.

Let's be clear about something: "wives, submit to your husbands" was never meant to trap anyone in harm's way.

This week in 1 Peter, Jonathan tackles the question people are actually asking when they read this passage — and the answer matters. Submission cannot mean staying in an abusive situation. It cannot mean abandoning your faith. Full stop.

Women are co-heirs. Equals. Precious. That's not a footnote to the gospel — it's the point of it.

Something that Magnify Church values is the idea of making church an interactive experience. We don’t want people’s minds wandering during the service— instead, we want you to be a part of it. During our teachings, there are plenty of opportunities to reflect, answer questions, and interact together. Church is not supposed to be a lecture, but a safe space to learn about the Lord alongside one another.
