Our community outreach this last week was at the Chesapeake City Park. Every afternoon, we hosted an open-air VBS for the local children with crafts, games, and a Bible story.

We just finished our last week of summer 2025 missions! One last to highlight and thank our amazing leadership team this summer! We are so grateful that God brought each person here to serve with us this summer and are so excited to see what God will continue doing in all our lives. Thanks team!

We have absolutely loved helping out at the community garden at Redeemer this year! This was a partnership that God brought about this summer, and we have loved getting to know our sisters and brothers in faith and supporting the amazing work they are doing!

We end every night with worship and individual encouragement! We love to worship the Lord through music and by praising Him for the work He is doing in those around us!

Our last week of summer missions has officially started! Student missionaries from New Covenant arrived Sunday night and jumped in. Sunday nights around here always involve pizza, lots of games, and getting ready for a week of service!

Our community outreach this week is at a local park in Chesapeake! If you have young kids who would enjoy an open-air VBS this week, we would love to see you! We will be there this afternoon! Details in the flyer.

As we have partnered more with the garden, we have been able to support them families who volunteer and plan it by watching their kids one of the mornings during the week. This past week, the team put together an extravagant cart race! It was so much fun!

It's Saturday, so it's time for our last individual ! Meet Dustin! Dustin has been with EY2S since he first came as a student in 2021! He has been a student, an intern, and now this summer he's one of our leaders! He did an amazing job as our team lead this past week.

Dustin shares, "The Lord has shown me so much throughout this summer, and I am so thankful for all the ways He has blessed me. I have been able to bond with so many student missionaries and make new friends with people in the communities we have served in. The biggest challenge for me this summer has been coming to the realization that it's okay to step back, it's okay to surrender control to the Lord."

One of our long term community partners is P.B. Young Elementary school. The staff and teachers are always so amazing and welcoming and we love supporting them as they care for their students. We go to the school once or twice a week during the summer to help them get ready for the school year. This week we did a lot of cleaning out and sorting supplies for the teachers!
