Hey Spurgeon family!! Go like and follow our new page Spurgeon Baptist Church
We had to start a new page because we don't have full control of this old page. There was no way for us to take over the page so we just had to create a new page. In a month or so we will delete this page.

Spurgeon Church page is moving over to Spurgeon Baptist Church page. Follow us over there and give us a like. This page will be deleted after one month.

Glory to the new born king!
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. || Isaiah 9:6

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. || Luke 2:10-11

Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” || Luke 2:13-14

His birth is just the beginning..

Merry Christmas, from Spurgeon Church! We pray you find hope, restoring rest, warmth, and fullness in God’s presence as you celebrate the gift of His Son. ✝️🎄

Today we reach the final chapter.
Twenty-four days.
Twenty-four chapters.
One story.✝️
Thank you for walking through the Gospel of Luke together. May the joy of Christmas fill your hearts, and may the risen Christ walk with you into every new day.🎄

Luke 24
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb... click link to read the chapter. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2024&version=NIV&interface=print

Luke 24 opens with an empty tomb and hearts full of confusion, fear, and wonder. What seemed finished was only beginning. What looked like loss was actually victory.

Jesus is alive.

He walks with the grieving.
He opens minds to understand Scripture.
He turns sorrow into joy and fear into faith.
And He reminds His followers that everything happened just as God promised.

As we arrive at Christmas Eve, we are reminded that the baby born in Bethlehem is the Savior who conquered death. The manger points us to the cross. The cross leads us to the resurrection. And the resurrection gives us hope that still speaks to today’s world.

Christmas is not just about what happened then.
It’s about what is still true now.

Hope lives.
Love wins.
Jesus reigns.

Q U E S T I O N:
How does the resurrection shape my hope this Christmas?

Luke 24 shows how Jesus opened His disciples’ eyes to understand Scripture. How has God revealed Himself to you through His Word in Luke, and how can that deepen your confidence in sharing your faith?

Luke 23
Then the whole assembly rose and led him off to Pilate. And they began to accuse him, saying, “We have found this man subverting our nation. He opposes payment of taxes to Caesar and claims to be Messiah, a king.”...click link to read chapter. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2023&version=NIV&interface=print

Jesus trusted His Father even in His final breath, knowing God was holding all things together. And because of the cross, we can trust Him too. He is good, and everything He does is good (Psalm 119:68). So, call out to Him. Trust Him in the waiting. He is working, even when we can’t see it.

Q U E S T I O N:
How does the gospel bring hope to your life, right now?
