Our God is Able To Do All Things

Psalm 62:11 God hath spoken once; Twice have I heard this; That power belongeth unto God.

Our God is Able To…
1. Do All Things
Matthew 19:26 – But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Luke 1:37 – For with God nothing shall be impossible.
Job 42:2 – I know that thou canst do every thing , And that no thought can be withholden from thee.
2. Keep all we have committed to him. 2 Timothy 1:12 – For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
3. Give much more. 2 Chronicles 25:9 – And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The LORD is able to give thee much more than this.
4. Deliver from the fire. Daniel 3:17 – If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
5. Raise up children of Abraham from stones. Matthew 3:9 – and think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
6. Give sight to the blind. Matthew 9:28-29 –
28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
7. Perform what he promised. Romans 4:21 – and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
8. Make us stand. Romans 14:4 – Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
9. Establish us. Romans 16:25 – Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
10. Make a way through temptation. 1 Corinthians 10:13 – There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
11. Make all grace abound to us. 2 Corinthians 9:8 – And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things , may abound to every good work:
12. A do exceedingly beyond all your asking. Ephesians 3:20 – Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
13. Subdue everything under His control. Philippians 3:21 – who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
14. Save from death. Hebrews 5:7 – Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
15. Save completely, to the utmost – Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
16. Raise men from the dead. Hebrews 11:19 – accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
17. Keep us from falling and to present you before his presence. Jude 24 – Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
18. Empower us to be His Children – John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Matthew 6:5-13
5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Luke 11:1-4
1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
The five elements of prayer are:
1. Adoration – Worship God
2. Confession of our sins
3. Thanksgiving for all our blessings
4. Petition for our spiritual needs first
5. Intercession prayer for others
According to Matthew 6:9-15 and Luke 11:1-4; Our Prayers Should Consist of:

1 Our Father which art in heaven, Our Father which art in heaven,
2 Hallowed be thy name. Hallowed be thy name.
3 Thy kingdom come. Thy kingdom come.
4 Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
5 Give us this day our daily bread. Give us day by day our daily bread.
6 Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Forgive us our sins; for we also forgive everyone that is indebted to us.
7 Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: Lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil

Our Prayer Focus – Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
1. For our Families: We choose to serve the LORD – Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
2. For our children: We are for signs and wonders – Isaiah 8:18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.
3. For our nations – LORD heal our land as we yield our lives back to you – 2Chronicles 7:14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2 Corinthians 10:1-5
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:1:2
Two reasons why we take the battle for the mind seriously:
1. God does know what you think
2. We become what we think
“As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7
Principle: Thoughts lead to feelings which lead to actions which can lead to a stronghold or bo***ge in our lives.
“Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.” Romans 8:5, 6
“For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.” Galatians 5:17
How to recognize a stronghold:
1. They are stubborn
2. They are irrational
3. They are uncontrollable
4. They are counter productive
What are some of the strongholds we deal with?
1. Substance addiction
2. Relationships
3. Past events
4. Attitudes
5. Thought life
“When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations – the Hittites, Girgash*tes, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites, seven nations larger and stronger than you – and when the Lord your God has delivered them over to you and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy.” Deuteronomy 7:1, 2
Seven spirits still in the world today:
1. Hittites – spirit of anger and violence
2. Girgash*tes – spirit of idolatry
3. Amorites – spirit of pride and boasting
4. Caananites – spirit of depression
5. Perizzites – spirit of apathy
6. Hivites – spirit of control
7. Jebusites – spirit of weariness
How can you win the battle for your mind?
1. We are to live our lives from the inside out.
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2
2. We are to prepare our minds for action.
“Therefore, prepare you minds for actions; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.” 1 Peter 1:13
3. We are to take every thought captive in obedience to Christ.
“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5
“And if any place will not welcome you or listen to you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave, as a testimony against them.” Mark 6:11
“They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent’s the poison of vipers is on their lips” Psalms 140:3
“No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.” Isaiah.” Isaiah 54:17
“He who rejects you rejects me.” Luke 10:16
4. We are to turn to God in prayer
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.” Philippians 4:6, 7
