The Dignity of All God’s Children

Pride Month invites us into a holy pause, a moment to remember that every person is made in the image of God, bearing a dignity that cannot be erased, diminished, or negotiated. It is a season that challenges the Church to look again at the people it has too often pushed to the margins and to hear, with fresh ears, the voice of Jesus saying, “Love one another as I have loved you.”

At its heart, Pride is not about division or defiance. It is about visibility, belonging, and the sacred truth that no one is outside the reach of God’s love. When we honor LGBTQ+ people, we honor the God who created them. When we affirm their dignity, we affirm the Gospel itself.
