Attention Catholic Brothers and Sisters: St. Mel's is happy to announce they will be hosting an Evening with Jesse Romero event. Jesse is a vibrant, energetic Catholic evangelist speaker who shares his faith daily on Immaculate heart radio. He speaks at events across the nation and is a sought after speaker.
The event will be held on Saturday, November 5th with check in beginning at 5:45. He will be here for two talks for only $10.00 per person. If you are interested in attending please contact Elizabeth Vargas via message. We will sell tickets until we sell out. I hope to see you there.

Prayer Request: please pray for the Women's Cursillo beginning today at 7 pm. Please pray for team #588 and for the #588 candidates that will be living the weekend.
If you can, please make it to meet n greet today at 7pm. We have many wonderful St. Mel's women on team and overall 50 candidates.
If you can't make it to Divine Word for Meet n Greet, then please come to Mananitas at 6am on Sunday or Closura at 5:30pm on Sunday.

Good Evening Cursillistas!! Well, it has been a while since we have posted here - three months. With there not having a Cursillo Weekend during the summer, it has been light.
There was a national Cursillo at the end of July with approximately 750 Cursillistas from all over the United States. It was held at the Chapman University and was very spirit-filled and full of de colores!!
Last week the teams for #585 and #586 began formation. The mens weekend will be lived October 23-26th and the women's October 30- November 2nd. Please begin your Palanca for the team and candidates. The team has several St. Mel's Cursillistas which is truly a blessing.
We also have several candidates both on the list and some that we are following up on as applications have been mailed.

We all remember the gift of Cursillo and what it has meant to us in our life. So, if you feel inspired to invite someone, please do. It may be pivotal in their life.
Once you complete your application with your candidate, please give it to myself or Rene and we will process it accordingly.
We do keep copies so we can track it in a consolidated St. Mel's approach.
So, give the gift of Cursillo just as your sponsor did this for you.

For Palanca, please go to OCCursillo.org and fill out the palanca form on line. And please remember to write your palanca for the candidates first. And, for the team second.

A wonderful St. Mel's Ultreya just transpired our Parish. Danny & Jeri Medina shared such an inspirational 4th day talk. Their journey reminds us of Gods faithfulness to us. And while we are not promised an easy journey, we are promised a worthwhile one showered with graces and miracles.
The Holy Spirit showed up in full force (as if it were Pentecost 😇)
