Jesus Sees You | Luke 19:1–5

As I read the story of Zacchaeus, I’m reminded that no one is hidden from the eyes of Jesus.

Zacchaeus climbed a tree just hoping to see Jesus pass by, but Jesus stopped, looked up, called him by name, and invited Himself into his home.

That is the heart of our Savior.

Jesus did not wait for Zacchaeus to fix his life first. He met him exactly where he was. In the same way, Jesus sees you today. He knows your name, your struggles, your regrets, and the burdens you may be carrying quietly.

You may feel overlooked by people, but you are never overlooked by God.

Jesus is still calling people to come down from the places where they are hiding and receive Him with an open heart.

“Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today.” — Luke 19:5

My prayer is that we would not only look for Jesus from a distance, but that we would welcome Him fully into our hearts, our homes, and every part of our lives.

With grateful hearts, we rejoice in God's faithfulness as Zachary Hawkins was ordained into the Gospel ministry and Jacob Olson was ordained as Deacon.
May the Lord bless their service, strengthen their hands, and use them mightily for His glory and the good of His church

1 Peter 4:7–11 describes how Christians should live because Christ’s return is near: with clear-minded prayer, deep love for one another, cheerful hospitality, faithful service, and using every gift for God’s glory through Jesus Christ.

In Noah’s day, God brought His people safely through the floodwaters. Peter says baptism now points us to an even greater salvation through Jesus Christ — who died, rose again, and now reigns victorious. The message of 1 Peter 3:10-22 is simple: even when the world is against you, the living Jesus is still saving, still reigning, and still bringing His people safely home.

As we read in 1 Peter 2:13–25

For the Lord’s sake, we willingly submit and live honorably so our lives silence ignorance and point others to Jesus Christ. When we get mistreated, mislabeled, or politicians or bosses abuse their positions, we continue to trust our Almighty God—this is our calling. Christ is both our example and our Savior: He committed no sin, did not retaliate, but entrusted Himself to the One who judges justly. In First Epistle of Peter 2:1–12, we’re reminded that the Christian life begins with a changed appetite. We put away sin and learn to crave God’s Word, because what we feed on shapes who we become. As we grow, we’re not just individuals—we’re being built together into something holy, a people set apart for God’s purposes.
And that inward growth doesn’t stay hidden. Our lives begin to reflect it. In a world that’s watching, our conduct becomes a testimony—pointing others not to ourselves, but to God.
