As each day seems to bring news of more and more reasons to fear, I choose to focus on The One who showers out blessings and miracles every day.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.

Sometimes we need to check our foundation. We all know a house will not continue to stand if the foundation is not solid. Why would we think it is any different in our spiritual life? Psalm 119:89-91 says:

Your eternal word, O LORD, stands firm in heaven.
Your faithfulness extends to every generation, as enduring as the earth you created. Your regulations remain true to this day, for everything serves your plans.

Brothers and Sisters DO NOT be fooled. The word of God is timeless; it does not change with the social customs, human opinions, or philosophical viewpoints.

The relativism of human thought does not affect God's authority or standards. When we came to Christ, God's word became the governing principle for our life. Jesus declared this in John 8:47:

Anyone who belongs to God listens gladly to the words of God. But you don’t listen because you don’t belong to God.

Remember, we live in this world but we should NEVER adopt anything that does not line up in God's word, no matter who is declaring it.

Have you ever gotten frustrated from looking at someone who is obviously enjoying more favor in their life than you are? I have seen this so many times and it used to really bother me. I would say "how can they be so blessed when they are obviously doing wrong, treating other people wrong or just living an immoral life. I thought is that God's grace covering them?

I have learned that you cannot judge whether a person is walking with God by how blessed they are. Did you know that Satan can bless people as well? Look what happens in Luke 4; this is where Jesus was tempted by the devil:

5 Then the devil took him up and revealed to him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 “I will give you the glory of these kingdoms and authority over them,” the devil said, “because they are mine to give to anyone I please. 7 I will give it all to you if you will worship me.”

I am not saying that God doesn't give us grace. So how do you know if the favor is coming from God? If you are blessed by God, you are very thankful, humble and have a desire to bless others.

If the blessings are not from God, you can tell because they have no peace, no joy and they likely are not ever satisfied. They are also likely to want to keep everything to themselves, cheat others and make excuses for everything.

Lord God, forgive me when I have questioned your blessings. Help me to follow You and always be thankful, in Jesus Name.

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 6:4-7

Brothers and Sisters, God has chosen us to be Christ's representatives on earth. In Ephesians 4:1-2, Paul challenges us to live a life worthy of the calling we have received. No one is ever going to be perfect here on earth, but as we mature in Christ, we must strive to continually grow in our spiritual journey.

For example, if we aren't mature, the bible says in Ephesians 4:14:

we could be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. we can be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.

I have certainly seen this in the church today. There are things being taught from the pulpit that are certainly not biblical and most of it is down right sin called out by God! Many have been deceived by this and we as Christians need to stand up for what we know is truth.

For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. ~2 Timothy 4:3

Lord I pray today that you will open the eyes of anyone deceived from false teachings. May You help your children speak the truth in love and bring in Your lost sheep. In Jesus name.

Trouble is coming.

I know, not the news you really wanted to hear, right? God never promised us an easy life and yet most times, we go for the easy route. We as Christians have stood back and allowed the enemy to take us over and we have complied by compromising to look like the rest of the world. If we look like the rest of the world, we are not following God's Word. Romans 12:2 says:

And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

Brothers and Sisters, we have allowed ourselves (yes, allowed because we have power over the enemy) to be deceived. We are no longer calling sin what it is, we are easily offended, and aren't loving the way God has called us; and trust me, I am just as guilty.

It is time to get back in His Word. We cannot sit back anymore and allow the evil to continue without a fight!

Lord, I pray today for Your strength and wisdom to cover us. Allow Your Holy Spirit to guide us on the path we take today and may we have an open heart to His will. In Jesus Name!

Brothers and Sisters in Christ. I have been away from this ministry for quite a while. Through several events that have happened during the last few weeks, I see that God has called me back. Isn't is awesome how he talks to us? Just when I thought I knew, He sent me an obvious sign.

I feel renewed and excited to share the wisdom I get from God. My hope and prayer is that the Holy Spirit will lead and guide me and soften any hard hearts to the work He is trying to do in YOU.

He first loved us.

Roman 5:8-9 says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him!"

How often do you find yourself in circumstances of sin and guilt? Yet God continually demonstrates His love for us through Jesus' death on the cross.

Despite our transgressions, He took it upon Himself to justify us with His blood. Through Christ's sacrifice, we are saved from God's wrath and can be forever grateful.

Truly a remarkable gift of grace - one which should never be taken lightly or forgotten.

Lord, I pray today that we will never forget the wonderful gift You have given us. Let our heart be renewed each morning what a blessing it is to be alive in You.
