Pentecost Sunday reminds us that the Church was born not through human strength or strategy, but through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.

In Acts 2, ordinary people gathered together in prayer and unity, and God met them there. He poured out His Spirit and filled them with courage, compassion, and boldness to carry the hope of Jesus into the world. What began in that upper room is still continuing today through the Church around the world.

As the Church of God, we believe the Holy Spirit is still moving. He is still drawing people to Jesus, healing hearts, restoring lives, strengthening weary believers, and empowering the Church to live on mission.

The Church is imperfect because people are imperfect, but it is still deeply loved by God and chosen by Him to bring hope, healing, freedom, and the message of Jesus to a hurting world.

Today, we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit and the beautiful reminder that we are never alone. God is with us. God is empowering us. God is still building His Church.

Danville Community Church of God has such an amazing passion for global missions and State Ministries too! I pray Gods favor on their stewardship often. Such great folks. New Pastor Troy Bennett is a pretty good guy too! The future is bright!

Join us this month as we seek to educate, inspire and relationally connect the congregation to our local and world missions. We will update you on what is happening in all of the missions and organizations that we support. We will pray for them and their specific needs. We will also present an opportunity for you to support them, either through financial support, or through prayer and encouragement.
