By their fruits, you shall know them, not by how many scriptures we post, not by how on fire we sound in prayer meetings, not by their titles, not by how well they preach, not by how loud they pray. We live in a generation that claps for gifts but ignores character; she can sing but is she kind? He can play instruments but does he love? They can prophesy, but can they forgive? Don’t be fooled, the power can flow through vessels. But fruit only grows from a surrendered life. You can serve in church and still be bitter. You can sing in the choir and curse under your breath, you can preach and still not know Him. You can lay hands on the sick and still have hatred in your heart. You can speak Church jargon and still speak death over others. Remember Samson was gifted but lacked discipline. Saul was chosen, but had no intimacy with the Lord. Judas walked with Jesus and still betrayed him. Gifts show up and how you treat the person who hurt you, and gifts show up in the text you don’t send, the gossip you don’t spread, the apology you make even when you’re right. Heaven is not counting how many likes you have or how many followers you have, it’s weighing fruit, so today don’t just ask, “Lord use me” but rather ask, “Lord prune me, break me, and change me.” Don’t carry a Bible and still carry hate, because the world needs less performers and more people who carry the nature of Christ. By their fruits, not gifts, you shall know them.
