CHRIST COMMUNITY CHURCH 2026 ANNUAL LADIES LUNCHEON

The ladies were blessed to have time for fellowship and food. Our guest speaker was, Christi Martinson, who shared her testimony on the Lord's faithfulness, even during some of the most difficult times in her life. Hymns and special music were a blessing as well.

Hello all,

Good conversation at church this morning! I've attached two things we could use to promote the next three Wednesday night meals until we break for summer. I just used a Canva template flyer for quick creation:
PDF - best for printing on a standard, 8.5" x 11" paper size and hanging up as a flyer
PNG - best for sharing digitally
I will say, if we want to share this on Facebook, I would recommend it be posted in one place (preferably the church's page) and everyone shares that post. It works much better for awareness if we all share the same post to our pages than if we individually post.

If we're widening our advertisements about these meals to people beyond the daycare, we should start posting someone upstairs by the doors to greet new guests. Our church looks quite vacant when we're downstairs and I don't think anyone could guess how to get downstairs just by walking in for the first time.

Have a great week!

- Shaun B.

Pastor Peter DeMaris
My Testimony and Call

I was born June 2, 1961 in Ely, MN and grew up in Embarrass, MN. I went to
High school in Babbitt, MN and graduated in 1979.

I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior when I was 6 years old in Sunday School at Babbitt Baptist Church in Babbitt, MN. I was baptized there when I was 12 years old.

When I was 13, I felt the Lord wanted me to preach. In high school, I pursued other things with my life and did not follow this call in my life until I was in my 30’s. In my mid-20s, I began to attend the Fourth Baptist Church. During this time I started reading the Word regularly and came under conviction that my relationship with Christ was not right. I rededicated my life to Christ.

Susan and I joined the church and became actively involved in ministry. A few years later, I became a deacon. During that time I again felt God ‘s leading to preach.

I was unanimously supported by the leadership of the Fourth Baptist Church and I enrolled at Central Baptist Theological Seminary and began training.

I believe God is continuing to mold my life (Phil.1:6 “… He who has begun a good
work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ”). My desire is to help others grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. I believe I am to help them become the effective, mature servants God desires.

My Family

I am married to Susan Marie Sawyer since September 8th, 1984. Susan is from Baxter, MN. She worked as an Advanced Practice Nurse / Psychiatric Nurse Specialist (CNS).
She earned her master’s in nursing from the University of Minnesota. Susan was saved through the ministry of Campus Crusade in Mankato, MN while attending Mankato State University.

We have 4 children. All are saved, baptized, and are members of churches. As a pastor, I had the great pleasure to baptize both my youngest daughter and son.

We have one grandchild, a boy, who is 10.

I love the outdoors, sports, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Vision

God has allowed me the opportunity to serve Him as pastor here at Christ Community
Church of Nisswa, MN. I look forward to getting to know our church members and the community.

By God’s grace, I look forward to growing as a child of God and helping others do the same. My wife and I are excited to join this community. Our goal is to help Christ Community Church prosper and enrich the community of Nisswa and the surrounding area.

We will be looking to meet as many as possible and get to know them.
