Greetings! Tonight we will look back at the various doctrines and topics that we have discussed since we started our trek through this wonderful book of Romans. We will begin with an Overview and short background of this letter, then we will list individually the many great doctrines that have been covered since February. We will end tonight's Bible Study reading the first few verses in Chapter 6. Let's enjoy our time together in God's Word.

Tonight we look at "the free gift" of God and how justification, redemption, forgiveness, a new creation (being born-again/from above), salvation, and more specifically, RIGHTEOUSNESS, all came to us through Jesus Christ because of His act of obedience (His whole life, His sacrificial death, & His confirming resurrection) in an amazing offer - a free gift. This incredible and abundant gift could only come through JESUS, the Savior of the world, as He laid down His life to pay the appropriate ransom for (all of) mankind's sin; an insurmountable and massive debt against God, that we all have contributed to. "Jesus was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification." Romans 4:25 NIV AND "God made Him who had (committed) no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God." 2 Corinthians 5:21 NIV
What a Savior!! What a God!!! What an incredible gift!

Tonight we will look at being "justified by His blood." What an incredible truth! Justification for every individual is available through Jesus Christ. Colossians 2:10-14 (NIV) tells us how we have been justified, step by step.

REMEMBER THIS EQUATION:
Mankind = Death (Ephesians 2:1-10, Ezekiel 36:25-27)
Christ = Life (John 10:10)

Oh, let's "rejoice in God" that we have been perfectly and completely reconciled back to Him, enabled to walk in relationship with God through Jesus Christ, death no longer reigning or having power over he/she that believes and receives all that Christ accomplished through His cross.

Tonight's Bible Study is focused on the Work of God: Salvation. Yes. God did something that only He could - the salvation of mankind through His Son, Jesus, the Christ. "Look at it this way: At the right time, while we were still helpless, Christ died for ungodly people.." (GWT) We will take a look at some of the greatest "But God" 's in the Bible. God's Word is stocked full of them! (Used some 50X's)
And lastly, we will be encouraged to relish in this great truth - that God proved His love for all mankind (1 John 4:9, John 3:16, Ephesians 2:1-5, Colossians 1:21-22, 1 Peter 3:18, 2 Corinthians 5:14-15, and 1 John 3:16).
