It has been a privilege and a blessing to walk alongside you in ministry. Together we have celebrated joys, navigated challenges, deepened our faith, and witnessed God's grace at work in countless ways. I am deeply grateful for the relationships we have shared and for the love and support you have shown me and Rob.
As you prepare to welcome your next pastor, I encourage you to continue being the faithful, caring, and Christ-centered congregation that you have always been. Extend to your new pastor, Dana Hannon, the same warmth, patience, and partnership in ministry that you have so generously offered to me. God is not finished with NPUMC; indeed, I believe God has wonderful things in store for this congregation in the days ahead.
I have been appointed by the Bishop and Cabinet to serve the Arlington/Prague Charge, effective July 1. While I am excited to begin this new chapter in ministry, leaving NPUMC is bittersweet. NPUMC congregation has been an important part of my life and ministry, and I will always be grateful for the time we have shared together.
Rob and I will continue to live in Moore part-time, as he remains in his ministry as a chaplain at Norman Regional Hospital. That will be a new adventure to discover.
I hope you will be present in Worship at 9 am this Sunday for our last gathering together. Pastor Trish Harris and Rob Harris
Please know that while my appointment is changing, the memories we have made together and the affection I hold for this church will remain with me. I will continue to pray for you as you move forward into this new chapter of ministry.
Thank you for the privilege of allowing me to serve as your pastor. Your faithfulness, generosity, and love have been a blessing to me, and I have grown through our shared ministry together.
Please continue to pray for the Bishop and Cabinet, for your incoming pastor, and for the future of NPUMC. I am confident that God will continue to guide and bless this congregation as you move forward in faith. May you remain steadfast in your commitment to Christ and to one another, trusting that God is already preparing the way for what comes next.
May God's peace, grace, and abundant blessings be with each of you.
In Christ's love,
Pastor Trish
