Southwest Virginia Partnership

Southwest Virginia Partnership This is a long-range partnership between churches, district associations, individuals and the BGAV.

There are many groups and formal organizations that respond to human needs during moments of natural and man-made disasters. All, in their way, provide some measure of help to those in distress; however, all go home when life seems to stabilize. There is a clear distinction between disaster response teams and the permanent presence and support given by the Southwest Virginia Partnership. Based on

the principals contained in God’s Word to us and the needs of our fellowman around us, we minister to those whose very living is a struggle both physically and spiritually. We believe every human being is a unique creation of God Himself. As such, each person has infinite worth within the Kingdom of God. We also believe God is very much at work in bringing His created order to an expected end. The uniqueness of our partnership is found in our holistic approach to ministry / missions that encourages the people and churches of our region to discover and celebrate their value to God as they engage in His ever-advancing kingdom.

Nickelsville FBC again sponsored the Lord's Store on December 5, 2025. This is where families can get free toys for their children for Christmas. This year 225 children benefited from this wonderful ministry. This would not happen except for the dedication of our many partners in ministry and church members that provide the toys and the labor to make this day happen. Thank you all so much. Praying you have a blessed Christmas season as many others will because of your generosity.

Most everyone has an innate desire within themselves to help others. And quite often when we give, we want to give in a way and to a ministry wherein the gift we give reaches those on the receiving end without all of the corporate overhead. If this describes you, then let me assure you that you found the right place and ministry.
At the Southwest Virginia Partnership, we're actually touching others with the love of Christ in unique and tangible ways as we model the life and ministry of Christ through hearts, hands, and hammers.
Throughout Southwest Virginia there are few families that we haven't touched in the last 15 years of our unique, Spirit led ministry. Each week Tony and Jan are traveling the highways and byways of leading volunteer groups to build handicap ramps, install handicap accessible bathrooms, and a million other building projects that homeowners only dream of. And we're doing it all by sharing Christ's love in a plain and simple way. And at the end of the day, the recipients always say, "Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ, because we never dreamed, we would get what we have needed so badly. Tell everyone, thank you for us."
So friends, if you're looking for something or someone to support on this "Giving Tuesday" please consider the Southwest Virginia Partnership where God is leading us to touch the lives of many displaced people who are living on the margins of society.
Please remember, no gift is too small or too large to make a huge difference in the lives of others. And thank you so very much in advance for without you and your gifts we could not accomplish anything. May the Lord bless and keep you.
Thank you so much!

The team from the Heart of Virginia Ministry (formerly the LBA) served here from Oct. 20, 2025 to Oct. 22, 2025. They brought toys for the Lord's store from 5 churches (Calvary Baptist - Timberlake, Madison Heights Baptist, Randolph Memorial Baptist, West Lynchburg Baptist and Rustburg Baptist). Thanks so much. Many children will have a better Christmas because of these donations. They also served with a wood ministry besides serving at the food pantry. This team comes several times a year and what a blessing they are to everyone.
