“We have to ask ourselves, am I following God or asking God to follow me?”

This past Wednesday Pastor Greyton taught through Jonah 1 and challenged us to think honestly about the areas of our lives where we keep resisting God.

Sometimes obedience feels awkward. Sometimes it stretches us. Sometimes it pulls us away from things we’ve grown comfortable with.

But Jonah reminds us that running from God never leads where we think it will.

Last night at United Students was really special. 🖤

We wrapped up our “Built to Serve” series with a message about moving from attenders to builders, reminding students that God has placed unique giftings inside each of us and that we often discover purpose through serving others.

We also got to celebrate and honor our graduating seniors, pray over them as a youth family, and spend the night celebrating together with food, drinks, music, and a grad party after service. We’re so proud of this senior class and grateful for the impact they’ve made on United Students. 🎓

Last night Pastor Greyton walked us through Romans 12 and reminded us that worship is more than music. It’s the way we live, the way we love people, and the way we respond to God in everyday life.

A lot of us think we have to become the “right kind of person” before we step into serving. But often, serving is one of the ways God changes us in the first place.
