Prayer is a wonderful means, a channel, of God's grace to us. But for most Christians, consistent, ceaseless prayer is often a difficult discipline to develop. As a fully human man, Jesus modeled the discipline of prayer perfectly.

⚠️ SCAM ALERT

Several members of our church family have received fraudulent emails and text messages pretending to be from Pastor Justin Beam.

These messages usually ask for a "quick favor" and request that you reply by text because he is supposedly unable to take phone calls.

These messages are NOT from Pastor Justin.

Please do not reply, click any links, send money, purchase gift cards, or provide personal information.

If you are ever uncertain whether a message is really from someone on our church staff, please contact the church office directly using the phone number or email address you already have.

Please help us by sharing this information with family members and others in our congregation who may not see this post.

Last week, FPC's Teaching Elder Justin Beam and Ruling Elder Hank Jackson traveled to Louisville, Kentucky, for the PCA General Assembly. Rebecca Beam and Wanda Jackson joined them, making it a week filled with both meaningful work and wonderful fellowship.

Justin and Hank returned encouraged by all that took place. General Assembly is always a great opportunity to reconnect with friends, meet faithful servants from churches across the country, and be reminded that we're part of something much bigger than our own local congregation.

We're thankful for their safe travels and grateful for the time they spent representing First Presbyterian Church.

We’re thankful for these members of our church family who attended the Ligonier National Conference this week! It was a rich time of learning, encouragement, and fellowship centered on God’s Word.

Please continue to pray that what they learned would bear fruit in their lives, in our church, and in our community. We’re grateful for safe travels and excited to see how the Lord will use this time for His glory!
