During this Memorial Day season, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free and that courage, service, and love for others matter deeply.

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13

As we honor those who sacrificed so much, we are also reminded of the greatest sacrifice of all...Jesus, who willingly laid down His life so that we could have forgiveness, freedom, and eternal hope through Him.

May this be a time to remember, to give thanks, and to draw near to God together. Let us pray for military families, for those carrying loss, and for hearts to remain thankful for both freedom and faith.

Due to the inclement weather, We decided to cancel all activities this morning. Local meteorologists have asked that everyone stay off the roads and the safety of NBC members and guests is our top priority.

When Paul reached the end of his letter to the Corinthians, he paused in awe and simply said,

“Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift.” (2 Corinthians 9:15)

It was as though words had failed him.
After all his teaching, his exhortations, his encouragements — he arrived at a truth too vast for language and too deep for comprehension.

What was that unspeakable gift?
Not a possession, but a Person.
Not a temporary blessing, but an eternal Savior.

Christmas is more than a celebration of His birth — it’s the worship of a God who gave Himself.
Heaven’s greatest treasure wrapped in humanity’s need.
Love wrapped in swaddling clothes.
Grace laid in a manger, destined for a cross.

That’s why Paul said, “Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift.”

Because in Jesus Christ, God gave everything He had — and everything we need.

Merry Christmas to all may you be truly blessed throughout the rest of this year and in 2026!

There was no question of naughty or nice.
God didn’t have to check a list twice.

He knew this world was broken. He knew hearts were hurting.
And still—despite it, or because of it—
He gave us the greatest gift the world has ever known.

Wrapped in swaddling clothes, laid in a manger.
Destined not for under a tree…
but placed on one.

This is Christmas.

Grace didn’t come because we were good.
Grace came because we needed a Savior.
