For the month of June, our focus is on praying the Psalms. This week's prompt follows the appointed Psalm for Sunday, Psalm 100. You're invited to pray along:

Memorize: We are God’s people and the sheep of God’s pasture. (100:3)

100:3 says, “Know that the Lord is God.” To “know” God goes beyond what we can know with our minds. It also means to obey and follow. To “know” God is to internalize in your whole body that God is your Lord. What has happened in your life to help you want to “know” God, and not just know some things about God?

Consider reading this Psalm in different environments: your favorite room in your house, a place outdoors, a cafe, etc. How do you “know” God in each of these places?

"And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age. " (Matthew 28:20b)

The closing words of Matthew’s gospel remind us that we are never alone, that Christ is the constant companion of the community he calls and sends. We encounter very real human challenges in our experience, and this companioning and the healing that God brings continue to be important supports for our journey.

Wednesday’s service will include scripture, reflection, music, personal blessing, and prayer. Bring all the burdens that you carry and all that you wish to release.

Light refreshments will follow. All are welcome
