In one of his conversations with St. Faustina, Jesus said to her, " In the Old Covenant I sent prophets wielding thunderbolts to My people. Today I am sending you with My mercy to the people of the whole world. I do not want to punish aching mankind, but I desire to heal it, pressing it to My Merciful Heart. I use punishment when they themselves force Me to do so; My hand is reluctant to take hold of the sword of justice. Before the Day of Justice I am sending the Day of Mercy" (Dairy, 1588).

CHANGE OF PASTOR NAMED THIS PAST WEEK, beginning July 1, 2022

We have had a clergy appointment in the deanery that has changed since all the new assignments were announced. Archbishop Schnurr has appointed Father Steven J. Angi as the pastor of the Family of Parishes (S3) that includes Immaculate Heart of Mary, Guardian Angels, and St. John Fisher. Father Angi currently serves as vicar general, archdiocesan chancellor, and director of executive services. His appointment will begin July 1. As pastor of S3, he will continue in his role as vicar general. He was ordained in 1985 and has served in various parish assignments, most recently as pastor of St. Louis Church, Cincinnati. Father Thomas Mannebach, who had been announced as pastor of S3, has been reassigned as pastor of St. Ignatius Church, the parish that is currently pastored by Father Earl Fernandes, bishop-elect of the Diocese of Columbus.
