Alban's Railroad Fellowship includes railfans and model railroaders from all walks of life. While our individual interests and skills vary widely, the railroads that helped build our nation bond us together. To satisfy our varied interests, our program includes clinics, presentations, videos, socializing, trips, and, or course, model railroading. Member meetings take place on Tuesday and Thursday
evenings. Our layout fills over 4,000 square feet with 225 feet of four-track main line, three branch lines, a steel mill, and three working classification yards with engine facilities. On operation nights we utilize a custom waybill system for freight and passenger operations that routes over 1,000 pieces of equipment throughout the system. A large variety of eras are featured. The layout is controlled by DCC (Digital Command Control) with computer enhanced tower operations. In addition, we also have a kid-friendly hands-on Thomas the Tank Engine layout set up during our public Open House events.
