The Goodness Of God
Let God!
Psalm 27:13-14 & Romans 6:8-14 & Romans 12:1-2
James 4:6-8 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
“God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Psalm 27:13-14 I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. 14 Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
I heard a testimony Friday evening, and in that testimony, I heard a sentence that struck me to my core.
It completely changed my understanding of my faith in God and where I truly fall and fail.
“I struggled my whole life trying to fix my problems, trying to overcome my weaknesses. But it wasn’t until I heard God tell me that I needed to quit trying to cope with my situation, quit trying to fix my messes, quit trying to solve my problems.
God told me that I must stop trying to cope and begin my life of surrender in order for my life to become full.”
“That is when my life began to make sense and I began to see change…through Jesus Christ my Lord.”
Surrendering to God is all about letting go of your need for control
It is the ultimate path to finding peace, strength, and victory in your life.
Instead of relying on your own power, total surrender allows God to work through you.
Releasing Control: Trying to manage uncontrollable stress conflicts with God's sovereignty. Yielding your will to Him—much like Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane—removes the burden of trying to fix everything yourself.
Finding Contentment: Spiritual maturity involves being content even when God doesn’t provide explanations for your trials.
Romans 6:8-14 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. 14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
Psalm 46:1-11 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. 4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
7 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
8 Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire.
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
11 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Romans 12:1-2 Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? To surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship. 2 Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes. TPT

“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new” Ephesians 4:22-23 NIV
“For as [a person thinks] in his heart, so is he” Proverbs 23:7
What do you think in your heart?
What are you really like down inside?
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Philippians 4:8
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind”—your mind—“is stayed on You” Isaiah 26:3
“You must be born again” (John 3:7).
Christ died to give you a new heart and a new desire.
Surrender your will.
“Whosoever will, let him come” (see Revelation 22:17).
You say, “Lord, I will receive you into my heart.
Forgive me of my past, the things that I’ve done wrong.
I want You to give me a new direction in my life.
I want You to fill up this empty place in my life.”
Have you ever surrendered yourself unconditionally to Christ?
When you come to Christ, that’s just the beginning because you must live for Him.
I hope that you will say, “I receive Jesus in my heart. I trust Him. I know that I’m going to go to Heaven because of Him. I know my sins are forgiven because of Him.”
Will you do that?
God is TRULY GOOD…ALL THE TIME!
