"Students do well with the skills that they have." 💙

This was one of the resounding themes of last week's "Foundations First" interactive workshop , where 60 K-8 educators from local Jewish day schools came together to gain strategies for building a successful school year from day one.

Co-led by Gateways’ mental health and behavioral specialists, the session explored ways to weave community-building, clear structures and routines, social-emotional learning, and proactive behavior support into the fabric of the classroom.🎒

Because when we create positive, structured environments where students feel supported, we give them the foundation they need to learn and thrive. 🌱

A special shoutout to The Rashi School for hosting us and for your thoughtful, active participation! 👏

Our programs wrapped up instruction for the year last month. We miss learning with all of our students and Teen Volunteers!

Gateways' programs work with students with disabilities and diverse learning needs in an inclusive environment with individualized instruction ensuring that all students thrive. We can't believe it’s already the end of the school year! 🎉

Thank you to our phenomenal Day School Therapists for everything you do to help all students thrive. Our amazing occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, mental health providers, and other learning specialists work with over 200 students throughout the Boston-area Jewish Day Schools.

We're grateful to our partners for working with us to continue to prioritize inclusive environments in our Jewish community. 🫶

We are so proud of all you have accomplished and can’t wait to see what you do in college and beyond.

We were so lucky to celebrate our incredible 2025–2026 Teen Volunteers and honor our graduates at our Teen Volunteer Awards earlier this spring. You all are so important to our Hebrew School community.

We will miss our graduates next year, but we know you are off to do amazing things.💙🥰
