It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Kappelmeier. Redeemer Preschool would like to take a minute and honor the love and dedication that Anne Kappelmeier had for Redeemer Preschool. So much of what makes Redeemer Preschool the school it is today is because of the legacy that Anne created. Mrs. Kappelmeier was a teacher and director at Redeemer for over 30 years. Even after she stopped being a classroom teacher, Anne really didn’t stop teaching. As a director, she planned and helped run circle time weekly. She enjoyed planning the activities for the school and she loved interacting and participating right along with the kids. I think Teddy Bear day was one of her favorites. She was a director for 32 years before retiring in 2009. Even after she retired she would come back yearly until 2020 to do Polar Express day with the kids. Anne along with John, her husband, would set up his train set, dress as a conductor, and create a truly magical day for the kids. We celebrated the milestone of 50 years of Redeemer Preschool with her at our ice cream social. She loved hearing about how the preschool has changed or continued carrying on the traditions she loved. The last time she walked into Redeemer was for Mrs. D’Annibale’s retirement party. The warmth, love, laughter, and her unforgettable smile brought us back to many memories she created in the place. The Redeemer family will forever be grateful to Mrs Kappelmeier and the legacy she left at Redeemer. We know she is resting in God’s arms and is sharing some pretty great stories with him. She was a faithful catholic dedicated to sharing God’s love throughout her life. We are blessed to have been part of her story. Please keep her husband John, her wonderful children and grandchildren of whom she was so proud of in your prayers during this difficult time. We will hold you in our hearts always Anne. Well done good and faithful servant. It’s been an honor.❤️
